Ha I know what you mean. Did you ever try and fly it? It scared the **** out of me when I tried. Never tried it again since!! Needs lots of ***** if you don't have anyone to show you how to do it. I got mine hovering about a metre of the ground and that was it.
The one i've got had carbon fibre blades and the bloke before had set it up for 3d flight :S. The whistle it made and the speed at which it could go up (or down) was very scary!

Actually the larger the helicopter the easier it is to fly, they become more stable the larger they get. The only problem is the larger they are the more expensive it is to repair when, not if, you crash. A 30 size Helicopter, as being sold here, is the ideal starter heli. I started on a Kyosho Caliber 30, but the Raptor is easier to fly in my opinion. Join the BMFA & find a local club, there is usually someone willing to help set up the heli (the most important bit really as a badly set up helicopter is near impossible to fly) They will give you some pointers to get it in the hover - magine trying to balance on an invisible ball of air & you are some way towards understanding how to control the heli.
