Whingers and moaners and sad little people in general

Which is precisely why I don't and never have given up even when things are going bad. But I'm not going to live in some cloud-cookoo land of positivity that everything will work out when it might not/probably won't.
I'm talking about being grateful for everything you've got, and actually doing something about everything you don't like.
In addition.. living in a make believe world that "everything PROBABLY WON'T work out" can do nothing but have a negative impact on your life.
Think about it. Even if you just took complete pot luck, you should at least end up with 50% of things going right, and 50% going wrong, on average.
So telling yourself that your life will attract more bad things than good things can't do you any favours at all. It just gears you up to accept crap.
If you work hard to attempt to ensure that as many of the important things to you, work out positively.. and work really hard to attempt to remove as many negative things from your life as possible.. surely there isn't some mystical force, that works directly against this and ensures that your efforts backfire on you?
Well you're not paralysed to stop you walking so there isn't. Had you lost the leg you could still have had a prosthetic limb.

Saxo - if you listed what you consider to be "constantly sh4t on" I can pretty much guarantee that many of us would consider those things are either of no importance or find a way of overcoming them.
Of course no force makes things okay - this is a harsh world of natural selection. If you bleat and moan you get nowhere. But at least you don't get eaten by a big predator.

There's also no magical force that makes things bad.
Honestly mate.. I've gone through horrific lows.. Lows where I could easily say "why does the world keep doing this to me?"
I could have felt "life" had dealt me a terrible hand.
Again.. I'm not saying its easy. Its REALLY REALLY hard sometimes.
But something being hard doesn't make it impossible.
If you want to be a millionaire, life isn't going to deliver that to you.
If you afford a lottery ticket and don't buy one, and complain you're not a millionaire.. who's causing your misfortune? Life?
If you want more money.. go and earn more money... don't spend as much.
But life is about choices. And if you chose not to take the huge risk of doing something that's potentially worthwhile (And knowing you'll probably fail.. because its so hard to do.. many times until you eventually succeed) then that's absolutely fine, and its your choice. But THEN be grateful for the fact your life is so risk free, and exactly what you want it to be.

Don't you get bored of being miserable gits?
You know the people i mean, lots on here, lots everywhere these days.
NOTHING is good anymore for them, EVERYTHING the government or police or public services do is not good enough or a waste of time and money, (ESPECIALLY the Olympics).
When they hear good news they just pretend it hasn't happened or claim it is false/incorrect.
Why do people live like this? What is the point of continually looking on the bad side of things?
Ok, the country has a lot of problems with the economy at the moment but there are a LOT of good things happening too. These people just do not accept or see this though, only the bad things.
Why?
It is truly a sad, pathetic, demoralising, and totally unenviable way to think and behave and I feel sorry for all those that do act, feel and behave in this manner. You really are missing out on a lot of things.![Frown](images/smilies/frown.gif)

I did that on Monday, didnt feel like it, but felt tonnes better, I am sure most of the health problems are down to being cooped up in cars and houses, gthere is however a trail of snot all the way from Wilmslow to Knutsford,
You need to see the funny side with life, I think if you haven't a sense of humour, you're f*cked.

Did it ever occur to you that some people get shat on consistently for most of their life. I always make the point to "positive" people...the majority of whom, btw, usually have had fairly straightforward and easy lives...that when you cuddle and look down at a new born baby it's like looking at a clean human slate. Name me ANY time you've looked at a baby of less than 12 months and thought god that's a really negative or positive baby. We are all born with that equal (and blissful) innocence so if someone has a negative or positive outlook on life it's largely or entirely as a result of their life experiences many of which have been beyond that individuals control.
Sad as it is to cite from this film; they tackle this issue in Star Trek Nemesis.

My rejection of this kind of treatment is probably why I kicked off on the 'extremely negative' Shoesmith thread. And my experience of people who have not quite had it so good/or actually have been abused. That IS life, even if it doesn't affect you personally, or your ability to go clubbing on Friday AND Saturday just yet. D (young once LOL
