?..um...ok....insinuating with sarcasm love it, so hard not to get personal back . My point was if he fooked the country for political gain, going by some of the responses on here it hasn't worked. I probably shd have added that fecking the economy to become popular sounds like a very paranoid idea to have about someone too(not a statement directed at you personally), but I'm in the middle of working whilst typing these posts so my minds in two places at once and lets face it, for a bloke, multitasking is never a good idea

Maybe Scoobynet shd form a party?, this country is in dire need of an alternative, maybe we should all give the liberals a go did I just type that! lol

A lot of people in this country do like to shout from the sidelines me included but not get involved, if people really want to change the way things are done, or think they can do better then maybe they should get involved more and try to make a difference. I was talking to a family friend a few weeks back and though she has socialist values she is getting fed up with how Labour has been operating and some of there policies, so she has become a member and is going to run for a seat on her local council with the aim of moving up to regional then national government. Weather she can make a difference I don't know but at least she is trying.

No good saying, "ANYONE" as that simply doesn't wash.

The reality is that the Tories are the only other option at this moment in time and they are being shown up to be totally and utterly useless.

I want the Government to do something when faced with disaster! And the public seem to agree with me as the polls show.

With a country in economic crisis, the Tories should be so far in front that Labour would not have a chance in hell of winning a Goldfish at the Fair, let alone a General Election!

It's much harder to make decisions at the time than moan and groan with the benefit of hindsight.

I would love to have a viable option to Labour ...... but I do not see one.
How do you think the next couple of generations will feel, realising they are paying off the enormous debts, not only from their present borrowing spree, but also for the last eleven years and also all the future expenses such as the enormous pensions deficits and all those PFI debts as well?

Same as I felt after being told repeatedly by Thatcher to buy a house only to watch her and her government screw the economy up repeatedly so that I was eventually paying a mortage at a 15.9% interest rate. Then of course came the great ERM fiasco where they put their personal pride before the good of the whole country.... and so on.

Face it, all governments are greedy, self serving and frankly consist of some very narrow minded and, dare I say it, stupid people. Mind you we keep voting for them so we are partially to blame, not something I will be doing at the next election anyway.

Lot in what you say about modern politicians. As my old Yorkshire mate used to say " They want stuffing!"

You still have to vote for who you might think will do best for the country I think. Not bothering is a fast way to lose all the little bit of democracy we just might have left.
