Subaru crash in Bradford, 4 dead

I doubt you'll know this already- as not reported..........
two already had ASBO's
also the main reason the police were after them: they had burgaled and terrorised an occupied house that night.
anyone not entirely sure of the outcome of that night- let me say this to you: imagine it was you and your spouse and kids- sat home that night- when that bunch of ******* broke in and robbed you.
still thinking the same ????

Reading about the crash I did feel slightly sorry for them.
Everybody make mistakes when they are younger, I know I did! But people change as they get older. Most I know say "I used to be a right little **** when I was younger". Nearly all have changed for the better.
I wouldn't have wished they died, it seems they got it wrong and paid dearly for it.

Exactly, you drive a 1.5 tonne car at the ragged limit around a built up housing area and you're on a very fine line between getting away with it and having a huge accident.
It's like an accident caused by careless driving, where a moments lapse in concentration can lead to a huge fatal accident - the root cause may seem fairly minor but the consequences might be fatal or even multiple fatal. The cause and effect can be dramatically different - cars are very dangerous if not treated with respect.

Boll0cks!! These "kids" are the same type of "kids" who killed a family man in front of his wife and kids with a screw driver through his head a few years back, the same "kids" who assaulted and beat a nurse half to death and stole her car right outside her work, the same "kids" who broke into a house stabed a farther and mother in front of their kids in order to steel their car keys...all happened in Bradford, in my home town.
These ****er$ no exactly what they are doing! everyone knows what is right and what is wrong, you have no idea the amount of pain and suffering they might have caused people or may have gone on to cause. I have had my cars stolen in the past by ***** such as these. The punishment dished out in this country is a joke, crime has never been so high and its about time we take a zero tolerance stance.
I'm just glad they didnt take with them some innocent passing by or the police who were engaged in the pursuit.
Do I feel sympathy...NO...did they deserve to die...YES...fukc em!
What Car?'s survey found that 10% of motorists have been victims of car crime in the past 12 months alone. An astonishing 61% of drivers had also suffered vandalism, the top UK magazine found.
Indeed, a breakdown of official statistics from the Home Office reveals that two cars are stolen every minute in the UK, and, in addition, criminals attack 369 cars each hour.

Only because no one innocent was killed, if they would have run over and killed a by stander or passer by then they're fate would have been well justified! If you have ever lost a loved one due to such crimes (assualt, dd, bugalry etc) you can appreciate it leaves a very bitter and angry feeling inside with little or no sympathy for such criminals.

But a couple of people who died in that crash were kids. They did something stupid without thinking about the consequences. The older guys involved I don't have much sympathy for, but I can't agree that the younger ones, whilst they may have been stupid, deserved to die.

They didnt "deserve" to die the way they did but seem to be serial criminals who were responsible for their own fate. Glad noone else got hurt .
Might make some others think twice but i dont think so
Any loss to society???

I am afraid our society is very sick. Just look at the attitude of the mother and it sounds as if the family was given up on if the boy in question had not been to school for several years. Just look at what happened in Liverpool. These 16 year old tea leaves were savy enough to wash down their mate in petrol so there was no forensic evidence. The society around Mercer then broke down the distinctive cycle and disposed of it and two firearms and there was a concerted effort to shield Mercer from the police. He is apparently a hero among some of his peers. What has society come to?
We have two, probably three generations of parents where standards have slipped in many cases and behaviour that was shunned thityfive years ago and resulted in shame is now acceptable to so many. Greed, uncaring for fellow human beings, disrespect, dishonesty and irresponsibility in all its forms. A complete lack of standards and could not care less attitude.
Why has this malaise taken place?
Look at our politicians. The ability to tell lies and misrepresent the truth appears to rank higher than forth right honesty. Look at cabinet members. Darling and Mandleson just being two that have been caught deceiving us and their colleagues, telling lies to protect themselves. When caught out they simply issue statements along the lines that their previous staement(s) ie denials, were not in line with the facts as they now understand them to be. Incompetant politicians, incapable of decisive action or straight thinking. Most of them are there to further their own interests, feather their own nests and not to improve the lot of Brish people as a whole. Incompetance in the government, local authorities and the civil service does not result in dismissal as it would in private industry. Nobody takes or is held responsible for their own actions.
There is no leadership. Who wants to follow people like Mandleson, Darling, Brown or Cameron. Honest, concerned people will not stand up and be counted. Apathy is rife because individuals feel that on their own they cannot make a difference and without leadership it is futile trying to do anything. When odd people do stand up they are ground down by the system and beurocracy. Corrupt use of power to prevent the truth being exposed. So many "agencies" involved in any situation, probably all blaming each other and not one taking responsibility for what they have done. When the wheel comes off they can always pass it on to some more junior person "to issue an apology" Job sorted. We've apologised. Home and dry.
Bring on the revolution. Kick out the present wooly thinkers. Build a dozen more prisons. If people have been given a couple of chances and choose not to conform, remove them from society to ensure the rest of us don't suffer from their presence. Prisons where basic standards are just that and concessions have to be earned. Places the average person will never want to return to. Death penalty for worst cases of deliberate taking of life. Cheaper than maintaining some low life for 25 years.
Police allowed to get on with combatting crime and arresting criminals.
A properly organised and disciplined community service organisation, organised regionally, where lesser offenders are set to work on designated community projects. Run along strict lines where those that fail to conform are automatically removed to a detention centre.
Parents held responsible for the actions of their children to the age of 18 or whatever.
Investment in a healthy national youth club movement and promotion of the Boy Scouts, Boys Brigade, ACF or ATC.
National Service of some sort, not necessarily in the military but broadened to include other activities eg Forrestry Commision or specific national construction projects. Done for a set period between school leaving and 20 whatever years of age.
The direction of education improved to promote equiping our young people for later life and giving them pride in their community and country. Recruitment of headmasters and heads of department who can provide leadership and lead by example.
Immediate repatriation of failled assylum seekers and all illegal immigrants.
A national road and rail building programme to benefit the nation as a whole and soak up unemployment. It should be possible to put goods on a railhead in John O'Groats or Wick and have them in Lands End or Penzance 24 hours later for onward local road delivery.
Ruthlessly cut the beurocracy we are drowning on at present. Cut the numerous agencies that exist to keep people in jobs that muddy the waters and complicate issues.
Get rid of the quangos.
Decimate the Civil Service and local government for starters.
Appoint completely independant auditors for local authorities because the existing set up is a joke, cannot work or achieve its objectives and at worst is corrupt.
Our country is now a third rate nation. The social malaise I see is frightening and I have no idea where it will go from here.

I agree 100%, and so do most working decent people i know. We need some one running the country with these ethics and policys, instead of a goverment in it for there own gain. Great Britain used to be just that, no more i fear.

Too true Harvey, I have a friend who's mate is prison and they play against each other on the X box every night. If punishment for crime is being allowed play games consoles and watch TV then it is no wonder they have no fear of the jurisdictional system. Bring back hard labour and solitary confinement for those that choose to break the law.

So 4 "kids" died (well only 1 kid really, the rest would like to have been seen as adults to their mates).....
My sympathy goes to the fire crews, the paramedics and the police who had to attend the scene, it does not go out to the 4 who burnt to death, simply because they put themselves in that situation
Is it the politicians fault? well car crime was more rife in the 80's than it is now, blame the conservatives?
Poverty was more rife in the 70's and 80's, blame the conservatives?
People choose where they go in life, they pick their path and stick to it, be it scrounging off the state or robbing people, getting a good job that they worked hard for or working up from the bottom, its an easy life for some because thats how they want it, if they can just take it rather than work for it then they will do so, its not politics, its just people and this has been going on for centuries.
These lads stole a car that someone had worked hard to get, ragged it and lost it, died a horrid death, and tough.
One lad goes out, picks up a gun and shoots someone, what do you think of him?
One lad goes out and stabs someone, what do you think of him?
They live by that life because they can boast about it, they are "hard" because they steal or rob or murder, then when they die they get sympathy, but not from me, live by the sword, die by the sword, a nice motto to remember.

Didn't I say that on page one?!?!
Agree with you completely Tony; it's the dissolution of personal responsibility and blame culture that we seem to be fostering in the UK that has a large role in this: it's always the fault of someone else!
The buck stops with the people that stole and went for a "joyride" in that car I'm afraid.
Is being burned alive an apt punishment for stealing a car and driving like a prat? No.
Am I going to rejoice in such a pointless waste of life? No.
Do I feel sorry for them for an outcome that they all brought on themselves? No.
Do I think that something needs to be done about the subculture of "yoof" in this country. Absolutely!
Do I think that the promotion of personal responsibility and respect needs to be enforced on these kinds of individuals and their parents? You betcha!

Harvey 100% spot on.... What some people don't understand is the more you go softly, softly on this kind of crime/person before long it will come to your door.......
Lets look at 'deserve to die', so are some of the softies saying 'no one deserves to die'? I guess they only say that to some extreme type of person that hardly anyone knows like "well if he had killed 100 people before...".
I am certain that if these guys had lived they would at some stage had killed an innocent person... Yes you can say "I will never know..." well thank God I won't find out.. I wish Hitler and co had been killed while they were younger ... Nah better that we have a world war and millions die instead
There is a reason why it is said you reap what you sow. "They had been sowing for ages and now the harvest has come.......
As stupid as this may sound I could bet someone somewhere could make a case for the chip shop being in a bad location........

Harvey 100% spot on.... What some people don't understand is the more you go softly, softly on this kind of crime/person before long it will come to your door.......

Those who do not punish evil, obliquely commend it to be done?

Its all Greek to me!!!
Tony: I am interested in your views but I belive the country and our society has gone down hill rapidly and as politicians are responsible for making our laws and shaping the whole framework of our society a large part of this malaise rests with politicians, their wooly thinking and lack of leadership and foisting on us some crackerjack doctrin.
I see from the Sunday paper I bought to read over Christmas that pet owners are to be subject to new rules. FFS our social services departments cannot properly look after children and the police were alerted 19 times to the incestuos raping of two young girls over many years and some fruit cakes want to bring out a 26 page guidline to tell us how to look after pets.
3 separate codes of practice outlining how people should "meet their responsibilities under the 2006 Animal Welfare Act.
How many people have expounded how much effort on this?
There might just be a slight possibility there may be a few more serious things for our politicians and civil service to fritter their time on.
