That's useful. Anyone know how to check the update history in XP? Can't seem to find it in the Control panel.

Cheers

Irony

irony 1 |ˈīrənē; ˈiərnē|
noun ( pl. -nies)
the expression of one's meaning by using language that normally signifies the opposite, typically for humorous or emphatic effect : “Don't go overboard with the gratitude,” he rejoined with heavy irony. See note at wit .
• a state of affairs or an event that seems deliberately contrary to what one expects and is often amusing as a result : [with clause ] the irony is that I thought he could help me.
• (also dramatic or tragic irony) a literary technique, originally used in Greek tragedy, by which the full significance of a character's words or actions are clear to the audience or reader although unknown to the character.
ORIGIN early 16th cent. (also denoting Socratic irony): via Latin from Greek eirōneia ‘simulated ignorance,’ from eirōn ‘dissembler.’

If I remember correctly, you can see the update history on the windowsupdate or microsoftupdate website in XP. Been a while since I've used XP at home, and that functionality is turned off at work.

It's horses for courses really. If you still prefer to use Internet Exploder, ALWAYS ensure that your PC is updated, and has current security software.

Chunky Dunky.

Having switched to Firefox for a few days now I have found it much faster at downloading web pages and less clunky when navigating sites generally. It almost feels like I have faster bandwidth.

I think I will stick to it for home use from now on.

See, this is the problem with the Mac/PC debate. Most PC owners don't give a monkeys, unlike fashion victims, I mean, Mac fans.

I really don't understand why anyone these days thinks a Mac is that special.

They are basically an overpriced PC running Linux with a nice GUI and that is about it.

Stands back and waits for the flames

What flames ? You hit the nail on the head, Macs are just PC's with damned expensive cases these days.

Rather they release the same laptop with a slightly different shade of grey and is 0.5mm thinner, and the fanboys in their roll-neck jumpers come running...
