Oh well, no bad thing really, we didn't need another Snazy type on here moaning about everything all the time and posting a thread every time some insignificant event happened in his life. So good riddance I say. And speaking of which the other regular contributor I mentioned has also gone quiet so all is good

Also the little ****** gave me my last few infractions (for the short while when we could see them) so he was also a spineless little weasel hiding behind a keyboard

Coffin Dodger - Under the old system you could have appealed against any unjustified infractions.

If they weren't reversed, then there must be a valid reason to why they were given.

I totally disagree with you on that one, for example, go and check mine in Policy when I raised a dispute.

You and the old webmaster are the only people I have ever found to agree.

How do you see..

I actually was not trolling, I just can not see a point in the Sport. So do something useful with yourself and get a job.
..the above as infraction material?

COB is still about, he pm'ed me yesterday and regularly chat on msn, infact he was the first person to get to know me on here when i joined and have been mates ever since, he's a good lad and certainly didn't deserve the crap he was receiving, bloody good artist he is too!

He is still about, but few ***** on here makes his mind up about posting on here and sometimes I can agree fully!

Only if you could be bothered to appeal that is, which I certainly didn't bother with. I mean come on, how detrimental were they to daily living.

It doesn't take from the childish way in which infractions by members were issued though.

As for Coffin Dodgers infraction, well.

You could also argue that SN doesnt need the likes of your posting considering the above.

To be frank, I am sick of the bullying element that creeps into this forum on a regular occasion. I was sick of it in Muppets and it seems to transcend this area as well.

This kind of bullying covers the spineless treatment of certain long time posters like PSL & co. What happened to people's ability to simply ignore someone if they did not like their posting style or content. SN on the whole welcomes all kind of posting styles and I, for one, think there is a place for the Snazy/COB type of posters whether you like them or not.

If you had seen the content of some of the PM's and emails that COB showed me, then most people would be appalled that seemingly normal people could stoop so low as to actually sit down and write such abuse.

Sometimes I stand back and shake my head in astonishment at what levels of hatred can emerge on what is in essence a forum and then remember that the medium of bulletin boards garners anonymity which hides a multitude of sins.

Swiss, I don't see the negative posts as hatred. If COB courted attention like he so obviously did and infracted people when they posted things he didn't like then replies here don't warrant a hatred label but merely the truth to those posters.

Well said. Bullying in public is pathetic, sending nasty and threatening private messages to someone is downright sick.

As long as we all stand up to the bullies together they will quickly find that they're not welcome here.

Abusive PM's mwuhahahahaha, what sad **** does that, if its going to be said, it can be said in the open, doing that to COB is like kicking a puppy for nipping your ankles.

As for 10,000 posts and out of here, is it Logans Run in here now ?

Yes, but the option was there for those who felt the need. If they chose not to exercise that option, live with it and quit whinging.

Well said. There's some nasty pieces of work on all forums, and SN is no different unfortunately. It's only a web forum, if you don't like someone's posts, DON'T READ THEM! People need to take a long hard look at themselves if they're into sending poison pen PM's. Using Stu's analogy of a pub, if you said the same thing to someone in the pub, you could expect to be chucked out at best, or be suffering from an unexpected nose bleed. Recipients of repeated multiple offensive PM's should report them. And before you say something about running to teacher, just think how you would feel if you were on the receiving end.

Maybe COB's threads were depressing in some people's opinion, but conversely, you could always think, thank fudge I'm not in the same boat.

Bring back COB! We need a wide range of people on SN, or we'll just end up with the perv's like TtB, the troublesome few and the grumpy old farts like me.

Name calling is fine if the cap fits and in this case it not only fit but it will take a crow bar to lift off.

As for bullying well I've never got on with that term as its always used a bit like the race card by the weak. When a follower or attention seeker gets any negative treatment they immediately squeal and things have to be seen to be done. They are immediately slotted into the victim box and the other side is the evil one, the bully. Nobody gives a thought to the poor buggers having to read/listen to what it was they responded to in the vain hope it would cease.

What like the poor bugger who has the ability to hover over a post from someone, see the precis of the post, think " oh what a load of tosh" and then move on ?

It was a generalization and not aimed here as such, hence I mentioned 'listen'.

For me personally it makes no odds at all as I don't care enough either way so you can roll your eyes whichever feckin way you want.

I tried helping CoB on a couple of threads. Only to post useful info that he didn't "actually require", as it turns out.

Any tips as to how to get out of a spot weren't really received with the same enthusiasm as the "I feel for you" posts were they?

Anyone sending him abusive PM's was being a bit low though. Can these be confirmed?

You can do that only so many times before your patience wanes and you have to say something, though. Even if you're some kind of saint, which I'm not.

With your amount of posts, I think by now you would have honed the skill of 'ignorance is bliss' .

I have no problem ,in all these years , of skipping over posts, hell even entire threads because of the content/poster. Sometimes I have been drawn into threads against my best judgement but after a while seen sense and withdrawn. Surely that is an ability that anyone can do
