Its a difficult one this. Regardless of any compensation claim, COB has a medically reported health problem. Most potential employers are going to have a pre employment questionaire which will say something along the lines of:
We care about peoples Health and Safety blah blah
Do you have any health problem that could be made worse by carrying out any of the following tasks?
13) Carrying out repetative movements with your fingers, hands, wrists, arms etc
It may even ask if you have ever left or been dismissed from a job because of health problems.

That was my point. Sorry, it wasn't that clear was it. All these questionaires are to cover their own *****. You cant blame them though, there are loads of people trying to make a quick buck from so called work related injuries (no way am I suggesting this is what COB was doing) and the 'claims for you lawyers' don't help either.

I also think that a fair few that posted on the various threads held back a great deal as to not actually sound what most on SN would call rude, where others on SN would see it as firm.
The so-called abusive messages however beggar belief from grown-ups and what exactly were they abusive about? What made a person want to be abusive to COB's posts? That's the bit I don't get.

I didnt watch the clip, but I remember watching it when it was first broadcast! Ive got both series on DVD too, but unfortunately it hasnt aged very well...

For proper malingering you can't beat your local council staff....
This summer a woman at work didn't get a job she applied for, and has been off work ever since, (HOW ?).
My advice to Andy would have been to get the hell out of S****horpe, so his ex-employer couldn't tack his activities as easily.
