Hey dont bash ebay that quickly
I got my impreza on ebay and without seeing it.... and it wasn't an old model, it was only 18 month old.
When I got the car, it was perfect, as described and the seller a really nice person!

I don't buy anything from EBay that I can't afford to lose ie small value stuff only. Who the **** would buy something £5k+ from EBay Risk of losing the lot IMHO.

Theres nothing wrong with buying acar off ebay, you just have to be careful.
i bought mine from ebay,saw the ad,went and saw it,liked it,bought it.

same thing would of happened if i saw it on autotrader/trade-it local newsagaent etc.

i bought a bike off ebay and never saw it in the flesh, but for the ££ it didnt matter if it was fubard, turns out it isnt.

Its been a while since I have bought something off eBay. So, how does this scam work? Its obvious it is a scam, but I don't know how they get to keep your cash.

How much does Paypal cover you for? Thought they had changed things to offer more protection these days?

This happened to me when buying My Scooby there was a 06 plate car in blue Mint 2.5 car in PETERHEAD Scotland when I emailed him got a very simular reply
I was to pay £6500 for the car then he would have it delivered, if it was not as described I was to email him and he would refund my money and have he car collected !!!!! as I was reading his reply one of the seven dwarfs came in from playing in the garden
yer as if I was going to part with a penny without seeing and driving a car
I looked further on ebay and found another Scooby, a Leon coupra, and a cleo sport that was being sold by the same ****, I emailed him from different emails and got the same reply to each car
Reported to ebay they pulled the ads

Sorry guys this is like everything in life, theres always someone that wants to mug people off, but there are still some good people out there!

I just sold my truck on ebay (to get my scooby running again) and the deal went smooth and both people are happy!

You just need to be careful and if any doubt ask to view the car, real person selling a car won't mind!!
