PVD I wonder how thick it is ?

Ie: For scratch resistance.

Is it like gold plate were it will wear off ?

I have several automatic watches which I wear intermitantly, I very rarely even set the time as I use my phone for this as it is definitely more accurate. A bit like wearing jewellery I suppose.... but I don't wear makeup

You wear a watch, but you dont set the time !

How unacceptable is that.

Thats like wearing socks and not bothering with the shoes.

I have one of these swatch irony leather strap models

i have to have a sweep hand automatic since having my explorer IIs, which this fits the bill.

if i take it off, it stops after 8 hours, the time is vaguely accurate, but i love the symbiosis of it all - it's just as dependent on me lol!

The other week when I noticed it was an hour behind, this could well have been on a monday so in theory I probably didn't wear it over the weekend and possibly this was the cause for it losing time?

So, should they lose time while they are not used & "de-charge" or should they keep time then just stop?

My girl friend works in town so popped into Goldsmiths this lunch time to ask about this, basically they said bring it in and they can put it on something/check it, somehow???

So see what they say tomorrow.
It actually sounds like you took it off, it wound down and stopped. When you put it on again it started up again and it had only been stopped for an hour and you did not notice until later.

My TAG is out by about a minute every two weeks and my Breitling about a minute a month.

Your watch is very nice indeed I hope you get it sorted.
