If you havn't heard any of "The Fall" songs then check this out. Love Brix's green top too. Many of The Fall sons have a powerful bass line - Check out "Blindness" by The Fall too on youtube.

Can I vote for National Anthem by Radiohead? Nice driving bassline beautifully complimented by the drums as a counterpoint to the haunting keyboards.

JJ was my hero and the Bass player in my fantasy rock band, Strummer being the front man with Copeland on drums and the Edge on lead guitar.
What makes you say that ?
I saw the Stranglers in 81/82 at the Manchester Apollo think I remember the band getting someone on stage taking his kegs down and smacking is **** in front of the whole crowd <wasnt you was it Frenchie ?

I had a couple of run ins with him when I was snapping for the UK music press. Very unsociable and always played the hard man in front of the fans threatening to use his black belt skills on them. An utter **** if ever there was one.
Wasn't me at the Apollo! (pleased you thought I'd be up for that

I'm sorry, but what would be the point of getting three greats together on one stage if you aren't going to get a decent guitarist to accompany them
