My child minder is a certain Paul Gadd.
I believe he achieved no little sucess in the 80's as a musical entertainer under the nom de plume of Gary Glitter.

I used to know a few people that were famous: I used to go to parties with Robert Smith from The Cure and I knew Wendy James (from Transvision Vamp).

I was playing a session at Nomis studios in London in 1992ish when Queen were rehearsing for the Freddie tribute at Wembley in the next studio.

We'd had a heavy session the night before & I left a very smelly poo - flushed down, but the smell would not die - in the studio toilet.

I held the door open to exit & was faced with John Deacon entering.

Told him the seat was still warm & left him to it.

Does this count?

Is he alright? I always thought that Jamie Whitham was a far better rider than CF, whichd have shown if he hadnt been repeatedly sick. That said, the CF Vs. SH TT was a race to behold.....

As far as I know, Jamie's fine! He's been in remission for years, now. He was a fantastic rider, but a bit "bin it or win it", wasn't he? Shame about his glaucoma - that put a full stop to his career.

Or did you mean "is he alright" in the sense "is he a nice bloke"? On that score I can honestly say he's one of the most genuine, personable blokes I've ever met - and one of the funniest; the way he can tell a tale is hysterical!

Davyboy, I think I just get mentioned by name (Bob) when he's talking about the members of his old band, The Po'Boys. I haven't seen it myself.

Well then, yes, I think. I'd hoped to see him at a do just before Christmas, but he must have had something else on.
