WRX = Average 16MPG (the way i drive it)

Heres a test for you, i took my scoob to my bro in laws on monday, got there on a TANK of fuel, 240 miles!

Drove back SENSIBLY at approx 65/70 MPH and STILL only got 280 out of a full one.

Mondeo will do (on a run) 460+ to the tankfull.

iirc the mondy has a 6 speed box for a start and also a bigger tank of 65 litres comapred to the impreza's 55 litre tank? will also come down to aerodynamics, the size of tyre and the tyre pressure etc.

Mondeo only has a 60 litre tank, at least thats all my other ones took.

had 3 new(ish) ones in last 4 years, all 53 plate onwards, not sure where it says 65 litres?

Also early (53 and older) only has 5 speed box.

ah what you can get in and what size the tank is is different. my little fiesta only takes 35 litres at the pumps but pretty sure it has a 45 litre tank.

thought that the st220 came with a 6 speeder?

Thats what i thought until i saw a 5 speed, told the bloke it wasnt a propper ST220 and then he produced the log book to prove me wrong! lol

Was sure the mondy only has a 60 litre, as i emptied my tank one day (NOT on purpose) and only just got 61.5 litres in it, and that was up to the top.

16? You must really give it a good bootful then!

Even my mildly modded STi gives and average of 22mpg. More if I take it easy.

Even giving it a good blast I can expect 18's.

my friends 04 st220 is a six speeder and its just as juicy as the scoob. I personally think the st is a very nice car to drive, but it aint as much fun as the scoob hence why i plan on buying a newage within the next year.
