Ive found on both occassions I have chased people from my car they were tracksut wearing ******* on the rob and I was just unlucky to get picked on, those kinds of people ill fend off all day long, I live in a nicearea but grew up in a very different place, while I know these organised gangs of masked thieves do exist (my boss had his Cayenne keys taken from his wife while he was away on business) I doubt any of them who come down my road will single me out, theres far bigger houses, more expensive cars and showy people on my road, why go to all that trouble to nick a garaged 99 Subaru when the dude over the road has a brand spanking TT that he doesnt even garage, same story with the M5 down the road and the new Jag a bit further down.

You might as well take your chances with the pond life.
A well trained dog will never attack a child or anyone without provocation, there are no such thing as bad dogs, just bad owners.

Total bull****! You get "nutter" dogs, of all breeds, just like you get nutter people. These will be the dogs whose owners say " He's never eaten anyone before"!

your crediting a dog with the same mental capacity as a person.....

I guarantee to you that any dog that bites or attacks without being provoked has been either badly trained/treated or wound up for a laugh at some stage by its owner or someone else whos spent time with it.

So Rabid dogs have been mistreated / badly trained etc? Hydrophobia is just one condition that can derange a dogs temperament. There are others, some more serious than others.
Mistreatment/ bad training can result in anti-social dogs, but it is not the cause of every dangerous mutt.

I was once sat in my kitchen when i heard my car start. i ran out with my two dogs (rottie and hienz 57 mongrel!) when we got out the car was trying to turn round at end off road to be honust tried to grab both dogs to stop them getting run over but they clipped my rottie on the back end (any one that has one will know how brittle rotties hips are.
That night the car was spotted round town with same plates etc on about 7 times everytime i rang the police off its location and they didnt find it. a week later a mate rung me to tell me it had been spotted again on a estate being thrashed about luckily i was near with some mates in the car we found it and with out thinking chased it at stupid speeds with another mate following in his shojun i managed to get round it and my mate caught up and blocked it in from behindunfortunatly and i do still regret it things got out off hand and whilst they were trying to ram my mates shogun out off way me and my mates put windows through and dragged them out and i sort off saw red the car was wrecked interior had cig burns all over it and dented with no windows.
I got 80 hours community service and a big fine + a criminal record

They got let off as cps decided they could not prove which one was driveing car.

Thought id tell you all that so you think twice about how to handle things.

Id also like to add about this dog thing iv owned rotties all my life and nearly all off them have had the temprement off a poodle. when you hear off them attacking children etc look into the dogs back ground as in was used bread as guard dog then left in room with child etc. I look after alsations that dont make the grade as police dogs and even the chief handler has commented on the temprement off my dogs. if you treat a dog right it will do the same to you.

right thats my Sa over lol

Hey Pikey,
A pal of mine does alot with damaged GSD and Rotts. Also takes on failed police dogs. Trains them to do everything bar make his tea. All in german!!!!
Then ships them to the States and Germany.
Apparently very big in the Rotty world.
Dave Goulding ( His line Von Gouldryk or something like that )
Ring any bells.

as I said, an UNPROVOKED, WELLTRAINED dog wouldnt attack, being deranged by illness hardly constitutes well tained or normal conditions does it?

A dog that needs training not to attack has no place in the family home, or anywhere else for that matter. A well trained dog should not attack EVEN if provoked, unless commanded to do so by it's handler/owner.
However, despite the best possible training, some dogs will still snap. It's a reason for a fair few police dogs failure to make the grade.

I never said it needed training not to attack, your twisting what ive said.

My point was and always has been that just because some muppet mistreats his dog and it bites a kid doesnt mean the rest of us should stay away from ownership of big dogs. They are loyal companions and have a place in the home, millions of people have them wth no problems.

and it doesnt matter how well trained an animal is, it you provoke it enough, it will attack you, dog or otherwise, and if you do that to an animal and get bitten whose fault is it? hardly the animals really.

You got arrested and found guilty of trying to get your property back ? And the police just let the scumbags walk away . There is no law in the UK that states that if you are in a stolen car that you are still breaking the law because you are basically receiving stolen property . With laws like this who needs the police seems like they only arrest the inoccent . Dont let American criminals over there they will have a field day, and they dont have a problem shooting it out with the police either .

If you really think that and you own one of these sh*t machines and you have a young family your just living with a time bomb.
That do the chavs say after the dogs just bitten the childs head off?
"He doesn't normally do that", absolutely pathetic!

Dont really want to get involved in the whole dog arguement as its off topic. But it gets on my nerves with statements like the above.
I have owned many rotties which to be fair have a worse reputation then most. Question for you what bites more people a year. Jack russell or rottie.
Even better one rottie or border collie?
And are you really useing "chavs" as a basis on dog owners. Chavs own muscular breeds to look "hard" they also dont give the dog the attention secuirity it needs.

you are backing up my own argument.......

such a person doest train and treat there dog properly, as I said, a properly trained and cared for dog doesnt attack people

how about instead of reading newspaper scare stories about idiots who abuse animals then wonder why the animal attacks them or an innocent child, do some reading, speak to some experts, maybe even own and train (properly) a few of these animals yourself and the come back to me and talk about it,

ie, when you know what the **** your talking about, idiot.

do you think i'd let a dog near my son unless I trusted it completely? Ive owned, lived along side and grown up with dogs and people who train them professionally, I know what im talking about and what im doing. you do not.

Are you one of those body building types that are pumped up with steroids with a little c@ck and one of those ugly mutts to make himself look like a hard man?
Or just an idiot who doesn't give a f@ck about his family - until the ugly little mutt takes their throat out?

nope, im 5 foot 11 and weigh about 13 stone, bit of a belly on me if im honest, I couldnt run 50 yards yet alone go to the gym 5 times a week, im an accountant, own my own house and there isnt a pair of trackies in my house! I do the provisional training for blind dogs in my spare time, when im not in the garage with a car that is!

My parents breed German shepherds and have done since aslong as I can remember

Ive had owned and trained more dogs than I care to remember and I dont have one scar, not even a snarl in the wrong direction, because I know how to treat my animals, I grew up with animals, and I want my son to do the same, I have a respect and love for animals, not a misguided stereotypical view of them as you seem to.

You obviously have very little experience of such people and such animals, I can only say im sorry any experiences you may have had have given you such a point of view, you are missing out on the companionship a loyal dog offers its owner.

Im assuming you read the daily mail and have similar views about gays and immigrants? small minded fool that you are

as ive said, gain some actual experience of this issue and then start talking about it instead of spouting of about something you obviously know nothing about.

is that a staff? if it is, he won't eat the kids, and unless the pondlife they break in and bring a dog with them the burglers will nick him too.
(the trouble is with swear filter is you have to make up the four letter word, **** machine is too predictable, although love machine would be funnier, or what about time machine?)

superstar, i take it you have an aversion to dogs, nothing to be ashamed of, everyone is scared of something, i, for example don't like spiders much and call them ****ing **** legs. perfectly normal.

Too much Hollywood here!!!

The reality of close quarters combat/terror is a completely different ball game!!!!

An Iron to your kid's faces and the last thing you're going to say is f*ck you!
You'll be on your knees begging and couldn't hand over you keys, jewels cash quick enough.

The only way you should ever take these pond life on is if you know 100% you are going to win. If I could I'd sleep with the old Browning/Glock/Sig under my pillow I would. Any one comes in my house then to take anything and they'd get a double-tap square in the chops simple. But alas this is the real world and things just don't happen like that.

Give them what they want, and keep the lives of you and your family!!!

agreed close combat when disorientated is not like having a scrap down the pub!
weigh up the situation is the best way if they are going to do you over in anycase then stand up and fight but there is always someone bigger and tougher out there!

i would put a plank of wood with 6' nails sticking out of it hidden for a couple of nights so if they come back they may end up walking with a limp
