Grid online is cool, there are open sessions you can join and I haven't joined one with knobbers yet, just some good racing.
Haven't done private sessions yet.

Burnout Paradise is getting hammered on line at the mo, CAF if you get a good dozen and have a few races and challenges.

Sorry you couldnt get a 360 RB5 but everything happens for a reason. Your 360 prob would have broke out of warranty or something!!

Hope you have many happy gaming hours with your new PS3 mate!!

So you don't use the PS3 for gaming? It is a quality piece of kit, but I hardly ever use mine. Been playing a bit of LBP recently though

You may find (like I did) that the wireless adapter is useless for streaming HD video, so I had to wire mine in anyway (I'm using some homeplugs which seem to do the job). Makes the inbuilt wireless a bit useless really. Wish I could have bought a version of the PS3 without it...

Haha I played LBP over the last few days after it took a back seat mainly due to me buying a load of other games and getting more for Xmas. Is a good laugh playing with the mrs but twice now Ive got to parts of a level which we just cant fathom out. Maybe kids have better minds for these type of challenges but we got quite frustrated.

I love GT5 online. Number of times I go on for a couple of races and 2hrs later Im still playing Can however be annoying as connection times sometimes slow (apparently this maybe me via wireless so will get some homeplugs) and the penalties are not consistent. Ive been winning a race on last lap when someone slams me from behind and I got a ramming penalty WTF! And the grid positions seem random - dont think Ive ever started from 1st spot and in the leadup I can be in the top 5 but when it cuts to the track Im down to 11th which makes it hard to win. This maybe due to some lag or something via wireless.

BTW must give Uncharted top marks. What a game for £15. Fairly simple puzzles mixed with a few more tricky ones. Graphics are top notch for such an early release game. Ive done 50% in just short of 5hrs play but have only found about 8 treasures it seems (out of 60 ).

for online functionality xbox 360 is ahead but sony is closing the gap.
sony are starting to get some good cheap downloadable games (like XBLA)
i've got both but the ps3 takes pride and place in the lounge cos its blu ray which was a major factor in me buying one.
the one i bought was an original 60gb version which plays ps1 and ps2 games from ebay brand new for £400

Agree im on chapter 6 got stuck on a bit where you have to control the blade with the motion sensor bit of the controller I tried for 2 hours to use the anologue stick I cant beleve it

quality so far some nice gore in it too - my other game hasnt come yet (siren)

As for game my PS3 had its seal broke and as you say a bit of sellotate on it a little tip for you when you buy the console your joypad is missing they will give you another one I had the bonus of them giving me a duel shock 2 one as they didnt have any normal ones

I also find there second hand games are over expensive as are there normal games

Great choice

I got mine about a month ago and love it. Just finished Uncharted which was a good game, if not a bit easy

Off to get COD tonight so that'll be me for the next few weeks

Without wishing to sound rude, even my 9 year old can manage that , so what exactly is the problem?

It is fine. Not as slick to use or as fast as the Live store (and has a fraction of the content), but it's easy enough to use.

for fans of Uncharted, they're finishing Uncharted II at the moment and it's looking wonderful. Here's the teaser:
