Yep, just been out walking. It's great when all the mud is frozen solid. Much easier going. Same goes for mountain biking. Get back and the bike is as clean as when I set off! And the air feels so clean!

Was out yesterday on my trials motorbike - same thing. It's like riding in the summer only no dust!! I was riding sections that I would never attempt if it was warmer and more slippery.

As you say - you just have to be dressed correctly for the conditions.

Just a shame it gets dark so early.

Don't mind it being freezing, its only like being on a decent skiing holiday!

Done many a day on the piste at -20 or lower no problems.

Although it does become a problem when you've left your snowboarding boots in the boot of the car over night instead of leaving them on the heated boot rack. Putting on boots that are at -18C is a real pain!

I'd sooner have sub zero temps than rain. In fact gimme Ice an Snow in place of rain any day.

I was best man to a mate who got married in Lapland. It was -33 through the ceremony which was in an outdoor wooden hut (unheated). We just wore thermals under our suits. Was there for a week, and didn't find it cold at all so long as you moved about; some nights I didn't even wear a coat
