PMSL... I cleaned that car more than 4 times that day due to rain!!!

 

Slightly off topic, mine,s not been out for 5 weeks now and my Nephew is coimng over today for a meal etc AND he wants me to take him out in mine (not22B) but with all the salt on the road i,m not keen tbh..

GAY i know, but it,s SO clean at the min and tucked away...

 

Don't worry mate, mines been off the road since November and I had exactly the same thing with my two Step-Brothers coming up from Cornwall and wanting a go in it... I said NO!!!

I,m not a real bufty tbh, BUT i gave it such a going over before Christmas, the whole uderside etc and it looks bang-on now and the last thing i need is SALT everwhere...

 

TBH mate, mine has been used in the winter by the previous owner so it isn't as mint as I would like... However, I just don't want salt everywhere!!! I've spent over 2 years sorting it to a standard I am happy with and I can't be bothered to bugger it up over night!!!

 

Leave them in hibernation its to cold but Ive just bought a 3 door Cossy to play out in ARRRR back to the old days

 

Hi all thought i would share some pictuers of my 22b, brought it in June last year one owner 23k miles imported to uk from new and under sealed from new, I have original bill of sale with its service history.

Had a 22B type UK previously which in some ways i regret selling but hey ho life moves on, had a RB320 after the 22B it is a great car but as i dont use the scooby as daily drive, i decided to get another 22B , I wanted what in my opinion is the one and only scooby and had vision of what i want it to end up as. I will use it as they were built to be driven but it will be kept, its in the will now !! I decided to go for the best Jap one i could kind, it took 6 months to located after viewing several, have to say because of the weight difference she feels quicker than the RB, that had 324bhp and 363 torque.

Engine wise I am having some work done just to give an little more !!

I am not going to show and shine the car, I am not into this personally but I do want it looking right, I have been inspired by what Richy B has done to his and my mate has a mint Type R.

Started an Album with some pictuers of what has happened since 1st September went it went in a garage to have Tien Mono flex fitted, and it's still there !!! the owner of the garage is A1 and the best I have ever dealt with, he is working on the car but allowing me to go as and when i wish to carry work out.

Have taken all of the drive train out to clean and spray , I have sand blasted the hubs' and the half shafts at home and built a little spary booth in the garage.

Some the pictuers were taken when the rear half sahfts were done along with the trailing arms and lateral links, but from here I have taken off the hubs, the front half shafts. Wish bones have been polished and laquered , more parts are being plated including the gear box craddle, one in pics is temp one that has been fitted.

PMSL, I think you will find the waterfall 22B and the 22B pics you have are the same car... Reason I know this is because it is mine!!!

 

Hahaha! Brilliant! I must have spent about half an hour walking round your car, I've only seen a handful of 22B's, but yours was/is the most shiny!

 

LOL, you wouldn't have said that if you had seen it turn up in the morning at Rally Day!!! It was well dirty after doing the McRae gathering and I hadn't had a chance to wash it before Rally Day... Spent 2.5 hours getting it ship shape on the morning!!!
