Contrary to popular belief, it is not a condition of membership of the ESC, to sport one of theses ludicrous devices.
Don't give us Essex/East London Subaru owners a worse reputation.
Looks like your credibility has taken something of a nosedive?
Having said that, I probably would have had one on my Cortina GT back in the mid '60's when I was 18.

1. If Scoobys become/are "chav" cars as people say. Do you actually care? You would need to be a pathetic person to worry about your car been called "chav" Most people on the street if they hear a loud exhaust you will get called it anyways....So who cares...**** em

2.If you seen a saxo with stickers all over it you would say "what a chav wagon" but i gurantee if a Scooby has them you probably wont - Like Cusco graphics people think they look mint, In some cases i think they look **** an sometimes good, but what if a saxo had Exedy graphics all over it or something like that - You would say it looks gash without even thinking

This isnt aimed at anyone just in general i see it all the time on here....... *yawn*
Let's just say "they're not for grown-ups" and leave it at that then, eh?

A really loud pop will flame slightly, its hard to watch on a scoob as the exhaust exits on the rear n/s but on my Evo it exits on my side and you can see it fairly easy at night as it lights the road up.

No'1 most useful use for anti-lag? Getting arseholes off your tailpipe who think they can can keep with you on a straight or some ****.

A de-catted motor with a recirc valve should do it if driven hard, or else the mapper can retard the timing with some negative during certain parts of the rev range.

Don't worry it will come out the other end but it takes time.

Look at Pug 205s. They went through the same bad patch as the Impreza is now and a good 205 is worth more than an Impreza these days.

As for pops and bangs this wins IMO.

YouTube - Subaru impreza RA antilag

Its someone on here but can't remember the name. A Simtek ECU is the first mod any new impreza owner must make.

i have a simtek already, only thing is i was sensible and got a sports cat downpipe which has stopped it from flaming. car passed MOT with all my mods (check profile) which i'm happy, and not sure if i should de-cat downpipe (paid £300 for sports downpipe too)

I would be tempted to have it mapped without any CATs and then come MOT time put the OE system back on.

I used to have mine MOT'd with no CATs with a tame MOT tester but he really didn't like doing it.
