Did the wagons also have the roof vent? I've got an STI v2 wagon in 53c paint but dont know if its a 555, no roof vent but some of the chassis plate numbers match what I've found on the net about 555's

Thanks for the positive comments
I had a thought that maybe I would have some sort of special edition mention on the V5 document if mine was a 555, which I havent, but then if it is an import maybe they just register it as a blue wagon, I dunno
Need to find a 555 wagon owner to verify! Or a list of the chassis number run to see if mine was included, special editions usually fall into a certain range dont they.

I know the 555 saloons weren't number so i would imagine the wagons were the same.

Yeah I've found that too, its definately an STI though, redtop engine and quickshift box etc. Weren't the early STI's actually WRX tarted up into STI's by Subaru hence the WRX code, think on the v3's or 4's they dropped the WRX bit and just called them STI's in their own right but could be wrong. And I love it anyway, it is my first scoob still got some things to do to it but do like it in the 555 colour. Had to be a wagon cos of the dog. Would be a nice little bonus if it were a 555 though!

Right, small update, according to the good old catherine and ken page (Which Car is a WRX STi) I share the same engine and gearbox as the saloon 555, and the same body and option code as the wagon 555 as well as the colour of course. Strange!

MY'96 (V2) STI 'Wagons have the same applied model number as standard WRX 'Wagons. Whilst it is true to say that they differ from STI Saloons, they have non-standard engines, turbos and ECUs (actually the standard 260PS WRX Saloon parts) are they are definitely an STI model and not just a tarted up 'Wagon. Sport Blue wasnt a series production colour either, in case you are in need of further evidence. The C&K page is full of mistakes, so I wouldnt ever use it as a reference.

And just to add more confusion, V2 STi wagons didn't get alloy bonnets or wishbones.

So you keep saying, but you've never actually stated what you believe to be wrong.

Why not email the site's authors with your corrections? Maybe then it would become a useful reference for the rest of us?
