I'm on Orange and got a better deal this year going to CPW. No matter what monthly payment contract, Orange wanted £130.00 for the C905. CPW did it for free still on Orange. Anyway, mines gone back so I will post the outcome, 7 - 14 days, if you like.

1. There seems to be a bug in some phones which means you cannot make email alerts silent without making the whole phone silent.
2. The touch screen is a real pain when you are on a call. The slightest touch will mute it or do some other unwanted thing etc.
3. The keyboard is massively slow - slower to use than predictive texting on other phones.
4. The gyro thing that can tell which way up your phone is, seems to go to sleep quite often.
5. Surfing the internet is a complete waste of time - especially if you have to click on links etc.
Apart from all that, not a bad phone...
I shall be putting it on ebay when I get round to it.

The camera on the N95 is better IMO than the N96.
Never had any issues with my N95 (other half now has it), nice and quick to charge, and mine never had issues with the battery running out quickly.
I chose the N96, because of the good experiences I had with the N95, and I don't like the idea of touch screens on a phone, as it would seem too simple to call people without knowing.
As said, my only gripe is that the camera on the N96 doesn't seem as good as the N95, and the video function isn't so clear either.

What network are you on? a couple of people at work have the n96 on vodaphone and have had no end of problems with the firmware crashing.

Orange and O2 had contracts with the i8510. Check CPW for details...

I've just taken the missus' sony c702 in for repair. it won't turn on, maybe due to being dropped in the snow! The vodafone guy I spoke to had, just this afternoon, taken in 3 sonys with sliding fronts fallen off!
I've never had any probs with my K850, though. Cracking phone and brilliant camera!

Got my phone back yesterday
Took my C905 back to CPW for repair. (it’s about 8 weeks old)
Phone switched off on its own twice. 1st time wouldn't switch back on for about 20 mins, 2nd time switched straight back on.
Screen was pixilating and colours all wrong, either all green or all purple.
Faultering between menue windows.
Scratches appearing on keypad from slider - bottom 3 buttons * 0 #
Got it back a week later all fixed except the keyboard so I rejected it.
Anyway I got it back yesterday with the keypad now fixed and it all seems ok again. The jobsheet says they have modified/upgraded several parts on the slider mechanism as well as replacing the keypad. The slider is supposed to be a new design, so it may be worth keeping an eye on yours.
I will let you know if I suffer anymore problems

I've a N96 and its a pile of chod.I only have Nokia's because they are so easy to use and are easily programmable.
However i found the N96 too slow and not as instinctive as previous units.
I have upgraded the firmware but its still not quite right, with little bugs here and there, that just make it a bit of a chore to use quickly.
The dual camera is v good,as is the radio and other extras. The headphones as usual are cack,so i'm using my sennheisers.
Will still probably buy another Nokia-i just dont rate this one

I've read a lot of reviews on the C905 and a lot of people complain about the earpiece and the slide. The N95 8GB i hear is pretty much the same as the N95 i already have, and i'm even reading bad reviews of the i8510, the N96 i've been told to avoid like the plague. All these new phones seem to be touchscreen which annoys me as you basically need 2 hands to operate them without pressing the wrong option and having to then wait for it to go back. I kept the protective plastic on the screen of the Pixon and after a week the plastic was scratched to pieces then fell off, after 18 months i can only imagine the screen would be scratched really badly.
As my 95 used to commit suicide every so often and i work far from home i've always had my old 8210 in my bag. Its easy to text, doesn't try to kill itself and phones people without a problem and its SMALLER than most of todays phones, the only problem is the toilet camera, especially as i've had the Pixon for a week and it takes better pictures than my bloody digital camera.
I've heard a lot of bad things about Carphone Warehouse, and going to O2 will cost me a few £££ more per month just to get the phone i want(ed).
I don't really care about 3G, video calling or the internet i just want a phone that works as well as my old 8210, is as easy to use as the N95 but doesn't screw itself up for no reason, and has an 8mp camera!!!! Oh and i can actually stay on a similar price plan.
Is it me or are phones getting worse, i don't want to get lumbered again waiting 18months because i've got some junk phone
