If the car makers don't want to sell to joe public at knock down prices why not to the essential services like police etc who buy cars on mass and would take advantage of a good deal and probably buy hundreds, that wouldn't devalue the brand , it would create turnover and remove the stockpile.

Nice 350 price - except the 370 looks a lot nicer!
There are four car carriers "ghosted" (laid up long term) in the River Fal which we live next to - not happened for 20 years.
Also several huge bulk carriers laid up.
A proper indicator of financial turmoil, as opposed to yet another tabloid headline.
Not sure about anyone else, but I really wouldn't want my brand new car (had two in my car "life") to have been sitting around in a dock (with salty sea air) for months/years on end.
Partly why the two new cars I have bought had only just been released when I got them!
