The Rolex looks really nice in the original post, but this is my all time favourite, been saving for ages but seem to spend it on other stuff!

I don't think the steel ceramic sub you pictured earlier has been released yet. April this year?

The WG one comes with ceramic blue bezel and dial.

Can't see rolex releasing a steel blue sub. That would **** off WG blue sub owners i think..

Any recomendation where to buy from? I've seen a few online places offering the new GMT for about £3950 so at least £400 cheaper than Ernest Jones who I doubt will haggle. Obviously a bit wary buying online rather than from shop/authorised dealer.

Lozgti, appreciate what you're saying mate, I don't want anything massively bling, bling like a lot of the Breitling's seem to be. Anything which has too many colours or is covered in diamonds looks naff and is way way out of my price range
You'd be surprised re:haggling.

I managed to get £350 off mine while getting them to price match an unauthorised dealer online!

That was this time last year as well,a week before they went up another £350.

Have you seen the Rolex Turn-o-Graph - they're nice as well.

Is it something to do with the pressure on the glass at 'depth'?
Or is it so you can see the date clearer in water?

I'd love a deep sea, but not allowed..... SeaDweller I wear most days and love it had it for my 17th birthday in 1991 paid £1500, the watch was first registered on the paper work in 1989

Cool

Thought I'd give a quick update (not that I expect anyone is that interested )

Wasn't expecting it but got a call back from Ernest Jones on Monday evening about 6.00pm saying that a customer who had ordered a new GMT II now didn't want it or couldn't afford it. If I was interested I'd need to make up my mind quick as apparently if the original customer didn't buy it they were supposed to send it back to HQ. Probably bullcrap sales pitch but it worked on me so I rushed down their this morning for a look

According to guru Yoza these are quite rare at the moment so I'm hopefully quite lucky to have got my hands on one especially as prices are going up in Feb or so I've been told.

They wouldn't shift from the RRP of £4,050 (I did try a few tricks that Yoza had advised me about) but they said if I didn't want it there was a list of people that did. Again, probably bullcrap sales waffle but again, it worked on me so I bought it

They did offer 24 months interest free credit so I thought it would be rude not to take them up on it !!

Will try and get some pictures posted up.

Whilst they were doing the interest free offer I tried to convince the Mrs to let me get an Omega Seamaster for everyday use but a swift kick in the b0llocks put an end to that

A very happy Chris

Ernest Jones in Liverpool ONE have a large selection of Ball watches.

I love them, I dont like your choice but thats fine, if we all liked the same thing we would all look like clones.

I have a Ball Hydrocarbon Engineer Chrono, and a Ball Classic Hydrocarbon Engineer.

Read this below....

That one I like.

It has an inner rotating bezel behind the saphire, and loads of lume, the engraving of the submersable on the caseback is a work of art.

They had this one at LiverpoolONE in December.

I have used Jurawatches and they are good, not brilliant but good, the watch I ordered at Xmas was late by 3weeks the shop gave me delivery date of DEC27th and then blamed BALL for being shut over the Xmas period.

But the watch was A1 new and had not been mauled neither had any of the plastics been removed.

I have ordered watches on line from other retailers that have been tried on, and have had plastics removed, not good.

Look here for more detailed photos of the Ball Diver.

EM II Diver (green) - Watchuseek Watch Fora

Edited to say I thought the case back had a free diver emboss, but I was mistaken, unless they do different case backs for different Diver models.
