Ah, read the link properly now, might have something to do with the 18k white gold ![Big Grin](images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
Are they going to release a less pricey ceramic sub or will they all be gold?

Omega manufacturing FAIL
Omega QC FAIL
Omega service/warranty dept FAIL
Omega service warranty dept QC FAIL.
In the time it's taken them to repair and ruin ONE watch (Four months and counting) i've managed to buy a Rolex, send it back to be repaired, get it back 100% perfect, sell it and buy another Rolex to sell....
I am now going to sell all my Omegas, i'm never going to buy one again and i'm going to make sure anyone who is considering buying one knows just how appallingly useless the whole Omega company is. They're advertising their new 40th anniv Moony on their website - the close up pics show how the lume application on the makrers looks like it's been done by a 10 year old. Cancelled my order of that watch too obviously.
Absolutely disgusted with the whole affair. It's been a similar story with every one i've ever bought from them.

Yeah they just emailed me back saying they noted all the scratches when they received it and will now refinish the watch as a geasture of goodwill ![Mad](images/smilies/mad.gif)
Fact is, the jeweller scratched all the lugs when i bought it and they then refinished it to perfection, it was then sent to Omega because of all the faults so there is no way they received it with all the scratches.
Steer well clear, they haven't got a clue about Quality control or customer service or honesty.
Rolex only for me now for Sports watches.

It really sucks when a supposed quality brand screws up so badly. Better service should be a given with premium watches.
I'd been promising myself a new watch for ages and seeing as I got engaged last month I thought I would treat myself (seeing as I had just forked out a load on an engagement ring!). I'd been looking at Rolex for ages and was pretty set on one until I saw an IWC sitting in the window :-) Commendably, the guy at Watches of Switzerland steered me away from the Rolex (which was nearly twice the price) and I'm now the proud owner of an IWC Pilot Automatic - absolutely nothing like what I set out to buy.
I'm still a big fan of Rolex (my future father in law, has a lovely Yachtmaster in white gold), but a couple of things did make me think twice. Annual production at Rolex - nearly one million watches - IWC 60,000. Secondly after attending a recent works sales do, it appeared that every other sales guy had a Rolex of some description - I decided to be a little different. I like the fact that only one person at work (my observant boss) has spotted the IWC. I'm looking forward to many years of understated enjoyment

Rolex are a step above in their movements and cases than all the other makers but they are def not what you would call rare. They also hold their value better than any other make.
My next watch is going to be a Zenith El Primero or a Concord with the El Primero movement in. Finest Chronograph movement ever made and the only one to beat at 33,000vph (all rolex, omega etc are 28,000) and 10 ticks per seconds. Rolex used to use it in the Daytona until they developed their own movement for it which was actually a step down in quality and performance.
