Think I might be "winning" on top speed - 87mph. Just seen a review where one owner reckons he got 105mph out of his - I DON'T think so.
Get above 75 and things get veeeeery scary.
On a private "race" track of course...!

Our new (2006) Fiat Grande Punto 1.4litre 76bhp does 0-60mph in 13.2 secs, with a top of 103mph. It ***** on the puny 1.2litre 64bhp one though: that does 0-60mph in a pedestrian 14.5 secs and tops out a weedy 96mph.
Still better than my first car: Hillman Imp: 42bhp, 0-60mph in 25.4 secs, top of 80mph. In fact it was so slow, that the period road tests used to measure 0-50mph instead!

My own rules state that you must actually still own this slow car to qualify...!
Our boat does just over 40mph - funny how bloody FAST that feels!

We have a classic 998cc Mini Automatic, seriously any overtake have to be planned about a week in advance. In fact it is in my diary, pass that van next tuesday but what a belter in the bends and get looks wherever it goes.
We've actually got a 1275 auto lump to go in it when i get round to it. Should improve things by about a day I reckon.
5t.

To be fair I think there was a problem with the Metro but if it ever hit an incline it would drop to about 35mph

When the Golf eventually inflates to the size of a Passat. Will they make the Passat bigger too? And if so, doesn that mean the Golf becomes the new Passat, the Polo becomes the new Golf and teh Fox the new Polo?
And if so, what replaces the Fox?
A Golf cart? (it'll probably drive better )

Landcruiser 4.2td weighs in at around 2.5 tonnes, 170 bhp approx torque is 330 Ibs ft. 0 to 60 in roughly 13 seconds and a top speed when new is 101 mph.
Edit
The above weight, power, torque, 0 to 60 time and top speed is wrong.
2260 kg
160 bhp
365nm of torque
16 seconds to 60 mph
Top speed is 160 kph.

I had the use of a 2CV for a year - woefully slow but huge fun. Driving absolutely flatout just to maintain reasonable pace makes for good fun (for a while...)
