I spoke to the assor today, and he told me he spent well over 1 hour looking on the net at cars the same as mine, but only found a few, he looked on pistonheads etc and the highest price he found was £5000!!!

i asked what sort this was, and he told me......

a impreza turbo prodrive ppp.

i told him that was a uk car and mine was a import version 6 sti.

he said he has no way of knowing that, i told him to look on the vin plate, he said he had the vin number, and then i had to tell him that he needed the modle code/number that was on the vin plate and that will conferm my car (GC8G4ED).

I told him there were web site on the net that you can go on to check this out. and he asked me to phone up later and leave a voice message if he wasnt there with site info etc on!!

**** that, so i called a-plan up again!!!

this is such a joke.

you pay for good import mod happy insurance, and they send people out to value your car who dont know jack **** about them.

i wonder how many people have been foobed off like this with there insurance?

hi, my mate had the same problem with his itr, he had to do all the work to prove the value, showing like cars on the market, which isn't how it should be! What are we paying for! Have you the option to buy the car back?
