Do Impreza owners still wave?

Blaster - and I suppose you see enough Porsche and Ferrari drivers passing each other to know this then? Unless of course you own one of the above? Besides, not all Scoob owners wave/flash - so why would you expect every Porsche owner to?
Don't need to take it so seriously - it's up to the individuals at the end of the day.

Maserati owners also wave at each other on the rare occasion we pass each other and this also goes for the other marques of classic cars I own.

Porsche owners do wave, those who are members of Porsche Club GB for example (yes I was and yes I did), same as people on here. Blaster thats a fairly miserable attitude, I don't consider myself atall childish, but another Scoob flashing me on my dull commute makes it that bit more bearable, and yeah it makes me smile. I've met some great people since I started using this BBS and I'm sure theres more out there I've yet to meet, so theres no harm acknowledging a fellow enthusiast. At the end of the day it's your choice but it's still miserable (IMO).

having only recently got into the scoob scene, and being too poor to own one yet but am saving like a bitch, i wave at all the scoobs i see from my pug, and the percentage wave back cos they know that i want to be where they are and its just a bit of encouragement from them to me, which is nice!

Yes I am an old git.
Yes I do wave at every other Scoob I see.
Some wave back - others are obviously commenting to their passengers 'Poor old geezer - he's got the shakes bad!'
Best incident to date:
Returning to my car at the NEC when a group of lads walk past. They look at the car, look at me, look at the car again & one of them calls out in a highly incredulous voice 'Is that your car, mate?' To which I reply (being only slightly senile) 'No, I'm knicking it!' Their response which cracked me up was 'Man, you're too old for that car, nick the Beemer next to it!)

Its seems to be catching on again, the other day I got a 75% success rate (3 out 4). Sorry to say the 1 out of 4 was a sport driver
never had a sport driver wave back. Normally find its families that wave or more than one person I suppose its easier for a passenger to clock another scoob.
I have had waves back from EVO's and an orange mark 1 rally stickered escort waved at me the other day. Nice to see that other marques appreciated other performance cars. Guy down the road (didnt know him) came over to me with an old mate of mine in the local pub and started asking me about the scoob. Turns out it was his escort cossie I use to see occasionally and he had seen me drive past, had a go old chin-wag and offers to go for a blast in each others car were exchanged.
Cheers
Chris

As a newbie scooby owner I got my first wave from another just last weekend - until then I hadn't realised it was the done thing. Looks like I spotted this thread at the right time ;-)
My previous car was an MGF and the waving percentage was pretty high in that, even amoungst the older MG's which is really cool IMHO.
I think its down to the club scene and again, internet BBS users seem to all know about it and therefore do it!
