It goes both ways, people have the right to mod their cars however they like, and we respect that right, we also have the right to say it looks ****, and they should respect that right

Forums rapidly go down hill if people aren't allowed to voice their own opinions,
I have seen people get banned from forums just for going against the grain and saying someone's car looked ****, when everyone else was following the accepted route of "Looks well good, mate", unsurprisingly, those forums are just one big stroke session and a waste of time.

Whereas the forums I visit where people really say what they think, are probably the best of the bunch, you get a few numpties who post their cars and throw a strop when they don't get 100% positive comments, which provides some comic relief every now and then.

And those forums are actually very productive, provide interesting debates, and diverse interests, and are not just one big troll fest which is what most people think if someone disrupts the harmony of the stroke session

People need to learn to take bad comments if they're going to post their cars up for the sole purpose of showing them off or asking for opinions on a mod, otherwise the quality of the forums rapidly declines, thankfully SN is managing to somewhat resist that element, and people generally still say what they think, which is how it should stay.

hactually....
Bin the snow plough, bin the rear lights and the jank spoiler.
replace with standard parts and give it a good T_cut and it would be a nice facelifted classic for sensible money.
Pick it up for something like c£1800, do a bit of work and its a bargain

Otherwise, you're all right, its a fooking shed

I really do fear for his latest car as its a fantastic looking wee sports car but i've seen some of the crap he wants to put on it

It's probably acceptable to put a twin or quad pipe exhaust on the back end of an Impreza now. After all, doesn't the new STI comes with a transverse backbox with twin exits?

Why can't it be done moderately stealthily though? A couple classic STI backboxes or tailpipes would work well, reduce backpressure and look right if installed right.

Im all for a few subtle exterior mods....but that is pretty lame.

I just feel sorry for the poor car underneath all that junk. It would have been all new and shiney once.

If I won the lottery I would scour the web for such sad looking cars, buy them and then take them back to how they should be.
