When I had the Scooby I diddnt wave at Sport Drivers, unless they waived first. This was becuase after trying for a while, most diddnt wave. I think this is becuase the sport is often owned by people who just see it as a good 4x4 car, and are not into the "Scooby thing", especially in Gloucestershire, where loads of vets and country types buy Subaru. Snobbery was not the reason.

I drive a Sport an I always wave / flash lights or whatever. We are all part of the same family after all. I love my car and although I'm not doing any major mods for Insurance reasons, I am alweays looking for other ways to improve such as lights stickers new Reg etc.
Scoobs gotta love them all!

For the people that don't wave at sports how do you know it is not a sport that you are waving at when it could be a sport made up to look like a turbo

I drive a MY99 Sport, I'm in the SIDC, and I wave... ![Big Grin](images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
I get plenty of Turbo drivers waving at me and I always try to wave back. I have to say I don't get much response from Sport drivers. I've never felt that Turbo drivers are being snobish. I sometimes feel a bit gutted when I get blown away off a round about, but that furry muff - my car costs half as much to insure and'll easy do 37 mpg![Big Grin](images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
Grahame, I'm in Cambridge too. I'll keep an eye out for your car, I'd like to see it to get some ideas...

One of my friends has a Yellow Sport & I have Blue MY01 GX
We went to one Glocestershire meet and were made very welcome by the "Turbo" boys, even included our toys in the photos from the meet.
Mind you I do wave but never get waved back to!

Inverted snobbery. That's what it is there are so few of you around here the ubiquitous turbo is treated with disdain ![Wink](images/smilies/wink.gif)
There's a rumour that a Sport owner up't north is planning a meet and if he's in an especially good mood he may even talk to the Turbo drivers
I always wave at Felstead, even in his sport. Shame two of my fingers are usually still clenched in a fist.![Big Grin](images/smilies/biggrin.gif)

I've currently got a MY01 2.0 GX (?) as a loan car as mine's in getting it's warranty front-end respray
Is this car the same as a Sport? I'm finding it horribly gutless with oodles of body roll. Does the sport have different springs etc?
