Aha, well done Mattski............

its a top exhaust system, had mine on for a few months now and i`m still well pleased with it.

Had a few probs with my car overboosting recently so i took it to Powerstation to get sorted. Im now getting a whopping 292 lb-ft torque, wahey!

You know what the girl sez in the Renault advert....`size matters'

When I fitted my Mongoose SS system (cat located in a safe place ~ garage ) it made a HUGE difference to the response.

I drive around with the rear window down a 1/4 now, especially on narrow lanes

Mattski ~ is that whole system ? It looks a little short ! Unless its a side exit pipe...ooooooh now there's an idea

Mark

The backbox looks to be better quality than the ScoobySport one which looks like a blind apprentice did the welding, is this true or does it just look good in the picture.

guys,

I am still grinning

Walker, what caused the over-boosting? I want that Torque!!! What car have you got?

Mark, yes it is the whole system, it fits perfectly too, better fit than the magnex me thinks.

Mattski!
You must have been the guy I met at Scoobymania on Saturday. (I was in the silver WRX - forgot to ask your name, D'oh!)
Nice exhaust m8!
BTW, that fluttering sound is down to the de-cat downpipe, mine does the same with the scoobysport one fitted.

Must be so boring having a standard car, and spending all your time worrying about residuals, eh Pete?

Cool

Mattski..........

My car is a V5 Type R. It has Unichip, Hks induction kit, Scoobymania full system.
The car is producing 283 bhp and 292 lb-ft torque. The torque is at its peak by 3800 rpm.

The Unichip map is a safe one also, peak boost at 1.2 bar.

Dont know why i had overboost, but like the others say, its like hitting a brick wall. Took it into Powerstation last week and they sorted it on the rollers, the figures are from that day.

The car really pulls well and can be quite scary at times, that is until i get used to it. Then it`ll be time for Water injection and a bit more boost.

Right, wheres me wallet gone

Leigh,

Yeh, I was there on Saturday, and my lil brother... The exhaust is superb geeza, if ever you need a replacement for your current one you know where to go

Walker... You lucky g*t Did the HKS make much difference? I was thinking of a ram-pod at some point but if it's like the Blitz I'll give it a miss. How did powerstation sort the overboost?

I don't think that I have got overboost listening to you guys, I would be interested in knowing what the flutter is tho!

Can't wait to get the Link in, although it's probably gonna have to wait until the end of feb

p.s. Leigh, Pete is too much of a chicken to get some goodies

Hey!!!!!!!!

I might be foul but I aint no chicken

I'll just watch all you mad people waste your money on stuff that dont do a blind bit of good except knock your residuals and annoy the neighbours!!!

When my scoobie is an old banger like yours I MAY risk it blowing up by playing but at the moment it is pristine and worth the earth!!

I do want the back windows blacked out mind you - all my lady friends are a little shy of the looks they get!!

Anyway - I'm so damn good looking that I dont need all the toys!

Look at me I have a big exhaust, which, as everyone knows, means I have a small *****!

Anyone know where Suntit is - I have missed his banter???

Gobsmacked - have you any idea how much they cost to make????????? a backbox in Stainless for a Metro costs around the same to make as the Scooby backbox!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! just as a Ford Scorpio costs about the same to make as a Fiesta (that is absolutely true by the way). Just the market for each differs - each carries a premium - but good god man - nearly £600 smackers.......I am in the wrong business.

As an engineer I reckon the box costs £40 to make - not a bad profit!!!

Pete... what drivel! Old banger? Hmm, I am sure there are loads of really knackered impreza's around that have had thousands of pounds spent on them that are just ready for the scrap yard. Stop being gay and go and get some decent bits for your car rather than the pea-shooter crap that they come with

And if you are so bothered by residuals why buy a performance car? They are supposed to be enjoyed and that is what I, and loads of other people are doing. i.e. spending money on their cars to make them more enjoyable.

Personally I don't really care about residuals, if I was so bothered I would have bought something small that would hold it's price.

I don't think that buying goodies is wasting money, you said you wanted that feeling of being scared again?? well go and get some bits for it and believe me it will come back!

And as for blowing it up, yours could give up the game tomorrow as any of our cars could, sensible modifications won't change that.

my lil rant
