An Israeli doctor said "medicine in my country is so advanced , we can take a kidney out of one person, put it in another and have him looking for work in 6 weeks"
German doctor said "That's nothing, we can take a lung from one person, put it in another and have him looking for work in 4 weeks"
The English doctor said "Hah, we can take an ar$ehole from Scotland, put him in 10 Downing Street and have half the f*cking country looking for work in 24 hours!!"

Won't see this broadcast buy the traitorous BBC:
More EU slave labour being shipped in to take British jobs away from British workers. Whatever Brown says the UK Government is powerless to stop it.
Angry workers along the Thames estuary in north Kent are planning to join the walk outs among widespread rumours that a giant floating hotel is to be moored in the Medway to house 500 Polish workers. They are being brought in to take British construction jobs during the building of a fourth power station on the Hoo peninsula.

Nope, I believe it's a bit more Lying Labour trickery: if they DON'T WANT to stop something, it's all throwing their hands up in the air, and whining, "what can weeeeeeeee do?"
But if there's something THEY want..............retroactive legislation, anyone? Ignoring laws and directives, as they hinted they would just lately, anyone?
The longer they can go on blaming the EC for stuff, the more that gullible people hate the EC, the less Labour have to face the mess THEY have created.

The foreign staffed contractors are obviously doing the work for more favourable terms - either cost, time, spec or a combination of all.
If there are wage irregularities then, yes, the UK government can (and should) act, but if there are not, they can't.
Peronally, I think Brown shold tell Europe to **** off and pass UK work directives to give work in the UK to UK passport holding workers, but that's never going to happen. You can be sure that irrespective of what goes public, certain other EU countries operate some sort of "local workforce" incentives.
The other option would be for a shift in UK union culture from one of throwing their toys out of the pram and going on strike to one of being acknowledged as being the best, most efficient and highly motivated workforce in Europe.
Hell, if that happened, the UK based contractors could win every tender going...

Have a look at some of the rules and regs France has to stop foreign builders just channel-hopping and setting up........
Added to the three tests everyone but us, Sweden and Ireland made them pass before they could immigrate........

Mandleson and Brown have been saying that "protectionist policies" will do more harm than good.
So why are "protectionist policies" being discussed by the US congress as part of their bailout plans. I thought Obama was going to lead us all to a brave new world

USA removes traces of protectionism by force around the world then will not take its own medicine.

The point is these jobs were not available for Brits to apply for, whilst they pay above the minimum wage they dont have to pay UK wage rates for those jobs. Where the job is open, any one can apply, this does not apply in this instance.

I think its complete madness and shows the true intent of the current goverment.
We were first lied to for over a year about the current recession and the impending depression we are about to experience.
This in turn set in motion a series of other points like how we are in a position to weather the problems and people should stay calm (translation: you are not going to voice your opinion).
Add to this the fact that certain cockroaches in the Labour goverment repeatedly claimed the problems were not as serious as the public claimed and repeatedly (to this day) have not admitted they were at fault and there is a serious financial, economic and social storm brewing.
So we are here in 2009 with a trail of failures:
1. Housing market goes into freefall and then fragments into a series of failures at every level
2. This has a knock on affect on the many different service providers (estate agents, mortage brokers etc) and consumers like myself who had some investment tied up in a number of propertys. The result is people losing huge amounts of their investment capital and in situation where they are competing with prices that spiral downwards everyday.
3. This inevitibly affects the lenders and their financiers aka the banks.
4. So the large amount of monetry value that once existed in this and other relating sectors simply vanishes due to lack of investments, failing investments and banks reducing their services to just a handful of products which choke the market even more.
5. We have a well known implosion as a result of the total destruction of the US financial market in the form of Northern Rock suddenly going from a solid financial business to one that is worthless overnight and in a state of total chaos.
6. And so on, the domino affect begins, the whole economy loses confidence and due to not being given any signs of improving people and organisations as a whole simply sit in limbo due to not getting the financial help the need and in turn not investing further to secure their assets (due to a lack of funding as mentioned just now).
7. Companies see the easy way out which is to trim down and quickly reduce their financial footprint to weather the problems at hand. However the companies that provide them with services and the companies they provide services to are also doing this resulting in many businesses going bust overnight and others losing over 50% of their clients they have no choice but to start laying off their staff.
8. Employees start to lose confidence and end up looking for the next place to find work so they can protect their personal investments like their house, car, family and lifestyle - result: key staff walk off leaving their previous employer in situation where they have to cancel existing and future projects (and prospective business) or scrambling to fill the gaps.
9. This domino effect is now perpetual and we are where we are now, in a mess that could still be fixed or at least dealt with to reduce the impact on the UK as a whole but no one seems to be able to admit to the truth or see the real mess we are in.
What makes me angry (but doesnt surprise me) is how the goverment quickly came to the aid of the banks investing huge sums into them and for what? Many of these financial organisations ended up giving their top tier staff bonuses and still choked the public by not renabling services they offered previously or at least offering new services to help their customers.
This proves that Gordon Brown's first priority is to appease his financiers and it is those financial gangs that really control the goverment and the economy.
The car industry is failing and we then hear how Mr Brown has a great idea to inject money into these companies, another daft idea? It was this goverment that forced the public to give up their cars and start using other means of transport (in the form of fines, tax hikes and other stealth moves to force people like you and me to consider other means instead of a new car).
And so people are not buying new cars which means any investment in the motor vehicle industry is a waste of money - our money remember!
Here we are now, only a few weeks ago we were hearing of alarming number of redundancies and how british workers were finding it difficult to find new work. This was no doubt perpetuated by the fiasco many years ago where nearly all of our jobs and new types of jobs were outsourced to off-shore companies (who now have the experience and growth that they are starting to offer their services at the same rates as those that were in the UK).
Instead of coming up with a plan to help the many out of work UK resident people the goverment just sits idle while companies tender their requirements outside of the UK and end up employing foriegn workers in UK based companies!
A joke, thats what this goverment has become. Makes me angry to know that Joe Blogs down the road from me who ends up out of work could lose his next job because the goverment did nothing to try and help him and secure UK jobs for UK based people.
**** like this pushes the public to create a revolution..

Good post FZ.
Not to forget that NL's behaviour during the last eleven years with all their wastage and profligate spending on useless projects etc has left us in a far worse position than we should be. The grossly incompetent performance of the FSA allowed the bankers to screw us all but then I suppose they are on a par with all the other govt. departments.

Having a PM who said "British jobs for British people" rightly or wrongly set a level of expectation which he could not back up - stupid man! Still no apology either - stupid, weak little man then!
Crime is on the rise, i see the gov't minsters first thoughts was for people to beef up security in the home - perhaps spme more police and tougher punishment would go some way to help!
Social issues -- been allowed to fester with communities within communities who do not and will not intergrate which has been allowed to go on - again this gov't should hand its head in shame. As pointed out earlier a large percentage of new jobs have gone to immigrants, about time this gov't got those who do not and will not back to work, cutting or stopping benefits as an incentive!
lots to think about all to play for

The people of this country have lost their Soul . we have watched out culture been stripped away and new "rules" been forced onto us.
i still think before we go "hunting " Jonny foreigner .... we need to sort out the DHSS .This is the most abused system going. No more paying out for single mothers to bring up chav kids. Far better background checking on people who want to claim. etc etc etc we have allowed a huge % of this country to breed who should be stopped. No one who is unemployed should be allowed to get pregnant etc. Then we will have a more balanced ground to deal with immigrants etc.
