that wont want jigging, id also say theres a strong chance of them wanting to write it off, however it is easily repaired with the right bits.
if your confident they will accept liability your fine keeping the hire car etc, and they will have to come inspect the car, just get on the blower to your insurance, the key is to keep chasing them every 4 or 5 days ask whats going on, you may be able to get a cash in lieu settlement to get the car repaired the yourself

Oh no!! not the monkey mobile.
Make sure you don't touch anything on it until it's been assessed
Bleddy male drivers... couldnt you see what was going to happen, and move out of the way?

Scoob went in this morning to Palatine Motors (Ira) for an estimate and hopefully they will be given the go ahead for the repairs
Phoned the insurance company up today and the woman has offically admitted her fault and is writing a letter to hers and my insurance company to this effect

Glad to hear it's being sorted ![Smile](images/smilies/smile.gif)
Reading through this thread, is this true: ??
Just wondering because my old 205 got hit up the back end whilst stationary the other day and the damage is minimal. Obviously the cost of genuine parts & the little bodywork is more than the car's worth, but it's still a good goer so I'd rather the guy who hit me paid for it - if I can insist?

I had someone pull out on a junction and they hit my rear drivers side door. Luckily that is all they hit. I had a mate who works in a bodyshop who told me to insist on a whole new door as if they just replace the doorskin it often starts to rust where it has been attached to the door frame.
So new door, disassemble old door, rebuild new door, re-spray and blend to rest of bodywork came to £1,100 IIRC.
HTH.
