So in my defence lets start with the yellow bmw M5. I had my lights on ( always do )and my indicator to pass..
As for the porsche i must point out he had been there the day before. According to drivers and bikers in the car park i spoke too that day. He had been holding cars and bikes up and not moving over also cutting bikers up.. So i was told he had been reported . But had left that day before anyone spoke to him..
Hence why i say in the video he's not going to move early on before I'm close and he doesn't you on here can see.
No need to get defensive. The overtake at Metzgesfeld was perfectly legal, I just err on the side of caution. As for the GT2, I've seen plenty of this type of driving, it really annoys me, people have paid their €22 for their lap and want to enjoy it but have it spoilt. It's not hard to use your mirrors, indicate (and lift off).

I agree with you Mark.

He had already admitted that the BMW driver hadnt seen - so could have ended in a coming together.

The move at Steilstrecke again could have ended in an accident.

It is not a race track, there are no winners there and a bit of patience will go a long way as there is always another lap.

Well for all the hand bags!!!

As for the harsh comment of being irresponsible.WOW! Not taking this personally but in my defence.....
I have lots track knowledge and experience since i've been racing bikes most of my life. So yes i am proud of the hilarious video with nerves northern bloke and that's why i posted it . The title (skyline vs gt2) was there to get interest.

I'm glad most of you liked like what you've seen anyway..
I have already held my hand up for the overtake.. SO Move on...

German traffic laws apply there the same as they do on normal roads with speed limits in places too.

There are signs and they are applied and enforced.

Congratulations mate, you really are living the dream, driving that awesome R34 around the best circuit in the world!!

Regarding those moaning about your driving I can only assume its jealousy they are not doing the same.

Great vid mate, rated it and really enjoyed it!!

Not really. I did about 200 laps last year and as of next month I'm living and working at the Nurburgring.

There is a new kid on the block ... Andy from the Burgstube (Burgstube Nürburg - Hotel at the Nürburgring - +49 170 8080256) does it in 7.18

Bren is off the bike for good since his big crash in the Summer.

So how many of the 'fan boys' on this thread have been to the ring?

I'd bet every critic has and goes very frequently.

That was a nasty accident Bren had a Brunnchen, I don't blame him for giving up 2 wheels.

Didn't Andy do that on a 600cc too. He's very fast and marshals part-time.

I'm only on my 38 lap at the end of the day.... Managed to get under 8 mins on my 34 lap. But each has had it's fair amount of traffic.

And i have 3 bikes 1 a race bike and 2 laps of those 38 laps are on a GSXR1000.
Once i get to grips with the track i'll be doing some more on bike. Although i really don't think it's a good idea to have bikes and cars on the ring at the same time.......

we were there last year when Bren fell, a few mates actually saw it happen first hand. Super scary.

No expert myself, just love the place, back this year for 5th year running, just wish i had more time and money to go more than once a year!

your not doing bad then , maybe taking the bike round would be a bad idea
i used the bike on 3 visits scary , if its not the lack of grip(due to droped oil or coolant) and the fact your hitting blind bends at 3 figures then there is the cars trying to kill you , maybe not intentionaly on there part, but its an eye opener all the same .

did 5 laps off the belt on a bike ferk me thats hard work, i was a wreck after that . consentration

enjoy it stay safe

definately one of the best locations in the world .

This video has been slated on Piston Heads, for being too aggressive; and I agree. Its TouristFahrten, not Tourist Trophy, you should remember that: there are no prizes, only fines.

The video was posted on you tube at the request of the passenger as he found it funny....And so did lots of other people on youtube........................................... .......................
There lots of people out there and just 1 or 2 on this forum who find it all to easy to pass comment about other people.. As they are so perfect themselves. But most are in fact Just hypocrites...
Aggresive driving umm! in what way? I did'nt lose control did'nt spin or leave the track. And have appoligised for the overtake..

If you don't like the video DON'T WATCH IT!
