Blair groomed Brown for years to be the fall guy but Brown was so desperate for power and the kudos of the title he never saw all this coming, or if he did he ignored it.
Under the stewardship of the these two numpties a once great country has been trashed beyond recognition and it's getting to the point where the only way to get it back is by open revolt and civil disobedience.
Under Nu Labour the UK is not just financially bust it is also morally, culturally and educationally bust, it is a country of all-sorts with no national identity.
Most of the people who can have or are making plans to up sticks and get out leaving behind those who can't leave and the brainwashed followers of these two con artists.
The only way forward is a coup as Brown can now stay in power indefinitely, he only needs one small excuse to call a state of national emergency and he can defer an election for as long as he likes.

Take it from an old fella like me ..... the Tories are worse than this lot, BY A COUNTRY MILE - ask anyone older than about 40 and they will tell you, pretty universally, that this is GOOD comapared to what the Tories put us through ......
At some point in time the memories will fade and the Tories will be given another shot - and we will see the end of the NHS, for example. Don't even THINK about them in power ..... it will make this mess look like a Tea Party!

Some older people have just lost their marbles completely ..... nowt we can do about them if they have forgotten the Tory years and accidentally vote for them again - luckily, most of the older generations are still 'switched-on'

You mean like the Winter of Discontent (uncollected refuse, power cuts, food shortages, un-buried dead, 27% inflation etc.) - that'll be Old Lab then!!

And I think you will find that the Power Cuts and the 27% Inflation Rate was under Maggie Thatcher

Much of the basis of Callaghan's Labour Party was that it represented the unions in parliament.
The strikes were a result of the attempted enforcement of the Labour government's rule that pay rises be kept below 5%, and began in private industry before spreading to the public sector; many of them seriously disrupted everyday life, causing problems including various food shortages and widespread and frequent power cuts. Whilst the strikes were largely over by February 1979, the government's inability to contain the strikes earlier helped lead to Margaret Thatcher's Conservative victory in the 1979 general election and legislation to restrict unions. Public sector employee strike actions included an unofficial strike by gravediggers working in Liverpool and Tameside, and strikes by refuse collectors. Additionally, NHS ancillary workers formed picket lines to blockade hospital entrances with the result that many hospitals were reduced to taking emergency patients only.

It is sad when the alternative to the rubbish currently running the country is only going to win because they are slightly less cr@p and not because they are brilliant and the way forward.
I was considering not voting, it would be a waste of a vote and ultimately i do not want NL to stay in power - the alternatives make you weep

I think we're going to need more pigs, how manypeople in the Commons? ~200. How many of them REALLY have a clue? Probably under 10%. Rest are just career politicians. Living in a fantasy world where they know best based on no actual experience of even working in a shop.

Erm, no, I meant the Poll Tax, the ERM Fiasco, the 20% Interest Rates, the NHS on its knees, State Schools crumbling, 3 day week ............. I could go on until the wee small hours.
And I think you will find that the Power Cuts and the 27% Inflation Rate was under Maggie Thatcher

Cash for honours, the Iraq war, Mandleson (twice), declaring you're going to sell half of the nations gold then watch in horror as that announcement forces the price of gold to record lows. Boasting for 10 years that you'd ended boom and bust and then watch in horror as the bust is going to be the worst in 60 years. I could go on until the wee small hours

So the graph shows us that other than the last couple of years when Ken Clark was chancellor the economy has been in better shape for every single year of Labour's reign than it was under the last Tory government and especially Maggie Excellent news

We have the politicians we (as in 'we' the educated citizens of this country) don't deserve. They were elected by the poor, the stupid, the lazy, and the selfish, low achieving majority.
That is why we have to satirise and lampoon them at every opportunity.
It's all we can do until we can boot them out of power....

The only Labour politician I've heard talking any sense recently (ever?) is Frank Field. Sensible suggestions for solving real problems on the ground.
None of this 'global initiative' crap and grandstanding and 'not me Guvnor' nonsense we get rammed down our necks every day by the rest of them.
Look at what's happening in Paris now, typical French some will say. I'm rather hoping the aggro over the 'British jobs for Italian workers' will develop into something meaty here. Get the boot in, I say, give them a good kicking.
I want to roll out all the old cliches about Labour governments because I'm sick to the back teeth of them. Get 'em out, no matter what. Hooray!

Let's hear the UB view on what should replace the government, in fact let's have your views on how different the world and our economy would be right now if the Tories had been in power for the past 11 years...I'd love to know

You must be younger than about 30 then ........ ??
Anyone who lived through the pain, the riots, the decemation, the economic collapse, the huge inflation, the massive unemployment, the greed and sleaze of the Tory Government would ever, ever, vote them in again .....
