Had some training in Loughborough today. Drove up the M1 from Northampton and it was steadily getting worse, but only 1 major incident which looked like someone had gone into the barrier.
Just got off the motorway and was told my training was cancelled! So traipsed all the way back home and then onto work. I didn't find travelling that much of a problem to be honest, only had one section of M1 which I couldn't travel faster than 30mph, so not bad at all for me.

Most snow in the UK for 18 years.
Maybe for all those stuck in the middle of the M25. So lets rephrase that worst snow fall in London/Surreyshire for 18 years.
I clearly remember more snow falling in the Midlands overnight in more recent years, the most being this time 13years ago. As I remember my dad dropping me off at college (no car back then) in his Frontera. Then having to walk all the way back home when the decision was made 10mins after my arrival to close the college And we didn't have mobile phones back then (well, they did exist obviously, but most people didn't have one), so couldn't call him to turn round and come back.

Had about 2-3" here.
Given that I live on the side of a fookin big hill - walked to work.
Took 1hr & 20 minutes. Might do it regularly as it was quite enjoyable.

There is a lot more snow in London than York. There was quite a lot in York this morning but the roads were clear by midday.
Just coming into London now and there is masses of snow. I hope the tubes are up and running - it will be a long walk to my hotel.
Even the train was on time!

Went to the loo at 1:30 am and saw it was snowing
wifey went to the loo at 3am, and woke me up to tell me
drove to work today and stopped off at the local supermarket to get some
cash.. tried the ABS and the handbrake
went on into work..
Many people didnt make it in, it was quite bad further down the A27..
Funnily enough, many people mentioned how they stopped of to visit the
cashpoint and also did a few donuts to test there cars handling
Little un had his school closed, so I picked him up
and we went sledging
3 hrs of awesome fun
think i might take some time off tomorrow
