I havent been on this forum very long,i am new to subarus and asked plenty of daft questions .Look learn and listen is my advice and keep smiling. As for the car in question its a buyers market with plenty for sale. You have seen the car so only you know if it is worth the money.

At the end of the day Andy if you think its worth it then go for it, I paid a bit over the odds for my car last year however I have a very tidy car, was low mileage and has never ever missed a beat.
If its tidy and in good condition then worth paying a little more for peace of mind than ending up with a bit of a shed which will cause you trouble and heartache further down 'the road' (pardon the pun!)

Valuations here are sedom that accurate, because everyone is in denial about the dumbling worth of their car. I have little to do with Imprezas now, beyond having one laid up in my garage, so I cant help either. Id go as far as to say that its a damned good price for the vendor to achieve in todays market.

My thoughts exactly saving a grand now might cost me many times that in years to come. I am thinking of keeping the car for a while so depreciation isnt my main worry.

Its the very first Impreza that I imported and I didnt register it at the time Paul. I did MOT it a few years ago but its still not registered. I was tempted last Summer but Sheffield VRO were one of those who were misinterpreting the tax bracket rules and trying to use New Age STI CO2 figures to put you in the top VEL band, so I didnt. I met someone at Bruntingthorpe who used Hull and they were still registering cars properly, but Autumn was aproaching by then and I didnt get around to it.
At this rate itll be the best 1996 'Wagon in the country (69,000 miles and absolutely no modifications)...
