The "markers" stay on the car forever as far as I know! They are not taken off when a new owner buys it.

As posted earlier, they are attached to registration plate, but will have a weed date as per the data protection act.
If the officer who originated the marker deems that it should stay on,it will, for another period of time, and so on...
He/she will be asked whether the marker is still needed and will have to cut and paste the marker (will be on a list for their attention)and re-send it to the pnc.

So what happens when you get the marker removed and your lad decides to go for a blast again? Plod takes no notice and before you know it there is a bus stop full of commuters lying on the floor!

NEXT TIME...? Jail - that is if he survives a third crash - as I am guessing he's not a 'great' driver?

And that's not mentioning the death(s) he may well have caused and have to live with. I'm sure we all know of someone who has died or lost someone in similar circumstances. Me - I know of two little girls growing up with no mummy. Reality.

I know if it had been my dads car I wouldn't still be walking and talking.....

I wouldn't worry about being stopped - however inconvienient it might be - after all how else are they going to know who is driving legally or not?

The inconienience in my eyes would be the son........................

OP - just stop smoking dope while driving and storing your spare guns in the car and you wont have to worry if you are stopped

Seriously though, kick your son out and make him go and fend for himself - a lot of young people only learn to respect things when they have had to pay for them with money they have had to work for themselves ( I know I did at 16 )

And he'll just turn to crime?
One thing he does need, is councilling, to find out why he would steal from his own father - let alone any one else!
