My Mates New Range Rover Sport - Arden Stronger AR6

Nat21 - Yeah an X5, why is that text book?
Depreciation isnt an issue for him, he will be keeping the car for a few years so he wasn't looking at re-sale value. As said on page 1 i think he has been offered more than he paid for it by some footballers but refused to sell.
Matteeboy - The RR wasnt purchased to go off road as stated above. He didnt want a standard RR sport as half of cheshire has them so hence why he went to Arden to get the work done.

There's no point arguing with Matt. There's Matt's way or the wrong way

That was exactly the point I was trying to make but some people are too pig headed to understand just because they don't like it doesn't mean their opinion is right and everyone else is wrong if they don't agree
As for the comments on this thread and the other one about everyone being geeks and wimps who aren't impressed by the 'amazing' physical strength and fitness of a certain member just goes to show what an arrogant pig headed self obsessed person they really are

Oh get a frigging life Bravo - you do take yourself too seriously sometimes.
At which point have I or any other Arden haters said our OPINIONS are FACT.
I hate ham and pineapple pizzas and think they are for chavs - doesn't mean they are.

if the owner likes it and didnt mind paying over 100k for it then fair play to him. It is (currently) unique, personally I would choose other cars over that and if I was going the 4x4 route I would have gotten a 6 ltr grand jeep cheroke, got a super charger and a custom interior for a lot less, with a heck of a lot more performance but as said at the end of the day if the owner is happy with it then fair play to the guy for working hard to be able to afford such a car that he likes

Do I???
Sorry, can't remember if you've said it before. Just you're very quick to slate other peoples car's, and personalities because they own a certain car.
Maybe you'd like to share your car choice with the rest of the class. Maybe we'd have something to say about your choice of transport.

I'm not very quick to slate other people's cars - please point out another thread where I have done so? That's calling "talking bo77ocks" to try and make a point.
Now tell us all about the 911 you keep telling us you will buy soon...

Nice avoidance of the question posted. Obviously you drive a car that could be slated on here by some of us, and your character attacked because of the car you drive. Just like you've slated the RRS and it's owner on this thread.

Total and utter BS.
I have slated it because it's a lovely car that has been utterly ruined at huge expense. Just like plenty of others have - but you seem to have overlooked conveniently.
It's a bit like buying a lovely country house and sticking a huge white leather sofa and a massive plasma TV in the sitting room.
I could drive anything from an old Hindustan Ambassador to a new 911 turbo and it wouldn't matter two hoots.
I like RRs a lot. I hate "ruined" ones. OPINION not FACT.,

to deflect some of the criticism regarding taste maybe the owner should have looked harder at the options list and specced the
Tartan Travel Rug for the back seat
Countryside Alliance sticker on the rear window
Dog Guard (with optional cholocolate brown Lab, called Oscar)
copy of County Life for the Glove box
and lastly the pre mudded Green wellies for the boot

Matty and Nat - I think your opinions have been cast now. How about you keep any further comments to yourself as this thread has been ruined.
Other People who dont like it haven't keep going on about their opinions and kept it to one post.
I might invite my mate down to a local meet to meet you both and you can slate the car off to his face. Would be quite a funny sight to see.

I don't tend to go up to people and tell them they have ruined a nice car and wouldn't want to travel 100s of miles to see the equivalent of a Stubbs painting with a Burberry check frame...

Well Nat seems to have a rather interesting job in aerospace and I rather enjoy my little sad life down here.
I can just picture the scene though:
Arden man: "So what do you think lads?"
Nat 21: "Errrrmm, not really my cup of tea"
Me: "What a waste of a lovely Range Rover"
Arden Man: "Yeah lads but it cost me £106 LARGE"
Nat 21: "Yes and big gold Rolexes are expensive too"
Arden Man: "Got four of 'em at home. Classy as"
Me : "Errrrm, I've got to go now"
Arden Man : "Not before I race your pi55y little 4x4 you don't"
Me: "Fine - lets try this off road track"
Arden Man "It doesn't really go offroad but I'll give it a go"
[Gets to slightly muddy track and wheelspins helplessly]
Arden Man - "Bloody waste of money again but at least those two ***** know I'm LOADED now"

So then Bravo, if someone dressed in a tweed suit turns up in a classic old Rolls Royce, what sort of person do you think they'll be?
Or someone else turns up in am M3 with a shaved head, designer shades and jeans and an angry look?
Of course, you are free from the curse of "pre-judgement" aren't you?

At least I would have seen them and not just their car and I wouldn't be looking down on them. All you have seen is a car you detest and that is enough for you to judge what the bloke is like and how he looks/talks.
Our 3rd car is old sh!tbox of a rover for popping into town in. So on your basis if you saw me in that and the fact I wear jeans and t shirt everywhere and have short hair you'd assume I was a local thug/nobody off the local council estate. When in fact it is just a sh!tbox for running around in and have a family estate car and my scoob on the drive for when we/I want to go anywhere more than just popping into town.
This bloke has bought the car and done to it what he has because HE likes it and he can afford it. It is not his only car or his 'main' car from the sounds of it but a toy just like my scoob is. You are the one making the assumptions about the bloke without knowing anything about him apart from having expensive cars and owning a construction company.
