EVERY impreza I've ever scavanged in breakers (that has been written off solo) has been front ended due to understeer, it pays to remember that back in 1993 the Impreza turbo was beaten in Autocars best handling car test by a Mondeo due to its chronic understeer.

Subaru list the rear bar as 17mm to end of 96MY and 20mm for then onwards including yours, from experience thses sizes are a bit 'nominal' so 20 might actually be 19mm when measured!

nice one simon you told him good m8. i dont understand people that come on here and decry s/net guys that are genuine. this site is supposed to help other users that want help and advice not lead them astray with bunk and hearsay. i dont lie about my experience or my time in the motor trade, least my time at tulliallan police college .i am glad that one of the guys from sidc saw this character assination in progress ,and luckly i had trained his dad at the motor driving school a few years ago on the traffic patrol officers course.thanks guys for the input, . i myself would never slag anybody on this site ,because you dont know their background ,but thanks andrew for calling me a lad ,not been called that for at least 30years
cheers guys geo

just to let you know andrew ,when i retired out of the scottish tarmac championship i was lying third in the rankings ,not bad for a bad driver .
you must come up to scotland and see my motorsport room with all my trophies. in my time at tulliallan i also taught accident investigation ,vehicle examination ,veh/construction , lorry air brakes, pcv hgv prohibition courses
construction and use regs .in 1986 i wrote a book for the scottish police t.p.o course on vehicle construction ,covering all aspects of car construction ,bodyshell ,suspension ,brakes tyres, vehicle dynamics, accident investigation etc .i built building working models to teach students aspects of all parts of the motor car .because of my job at tulliallan i had a dispensation from the sec/state for scotland allowing me a civi/cervant to exceed speed limits to test my police cars to top speed on a and b class roads before the were put out for training ,as long as i had the motor veh /w/shops plate affixed on the rear . so now you know that you were a bit
hastie about your comments m8 ,but we live and learn
