Hi,

I have the 6 x 4 magnex on my bugeye and after 4 years wanted something a bit louder,

ended up with a nur spec s and sounded nice not that much louder,

then a few days later i put a de-catted down pipe and the one just b4 centre pipe and it was awful,

way too loud and not a nice loud either

blitz sold 2 days later

magnex is louder now than b4 anyway with 2 cats removed.

good to get some opinions, forgot to mention mine is already minus the cats. Now lookin at the Cobra backboxes in the traders area from ExhaustsUK - anyone reckon if it'll be quieter than the TSL Firestorm?

I've had a TSL Firestorm, a Buddy Club pacing Spec 3 inch system and now I have a Blitz NUR Spec R. Fully decatted on a big twiste turbo setup and an external wastegate. Sounds awesome!!

I have a decat downpipe and a Cobra 3" system/back box ... It has a not-too-large 4" straight-exit tail (but hardly any back box lol - see photo). It looks OEM - in fact, it's very much like a 22B's tailpipe - and really suits the Classic rear end:-



It IS loud but sounds really nice - really amplifies the flat-4's off-beat #krobba krobba# noise. Prob not quite as loud as a Firestorm/Ti-phoon or Nur Spec, but I love it.

Get one - I think it could be the exhaust to fit your brief...

Cheers Joz, it certainly sounds like it might fit...I'll be looking for a 5 inch slash cut though I think, and I've got 2.5inch pipework at the minute, so guessing it mightn't be as loud as yours, which sounds good to me :-) Have PMd exhaustsUK and left them a message on their thread but haven't had any reply as of yet...gettin impatient like, might ring em if not heard anything by tomorrow!

Yes, they do say that their 2.5" bore pipework is quieter than the 3", so will prob be ideal for your needs, then.

so they are! Somewhat cheaper buying with SN discount though

Will wait and see what they say on here, just saw the pic of yours (couldn't before as was at work and the comp wont display certain pics!) - looks well tidy.
