Halal Meat - Subway

It would help if you didn't come in with comments that do not contribute anything at all to the thread...
If you agree with Lady T, Why have you continued to contribute your useless 2p worth in the thread so far. Your comments have just been useless and trying to play devil's advocate to stir up more anti-Islamic comments.
It's strange how you speak out on the forum behind a keyboard and it was interesting that these views were not shared publically with our fellow "Desi" members when you attended the recent "Desi" meet.
As Plato once said:
Wise men speak because they have something to say; Fools because they have to say something.”
Don't be a fool

Pigs are filthy, common fact. And the Levictus book in Judaism and the Q'uran echo that.
These are just some of the diseases harboured;
helminthes, like roundworm, pinworm, hookworm, etc.
One of the most dangerous and common is the Taenia Solium, which in a layman’s terminology is called tapeworm
MMMM, YUMMY!

Cows get worms of varying types, and occasionally eat their own ****, but for some reason they are ok?

Mus - you know that essentially compassionate bit about the animals 'lying down' for their death, does that mean its OK to slash their Achilles tendons so they cant even stand up? Saw it on a PETA video once (via a SN link) over a year ago. Truly horrific, and it is probably one of the reasons I react so strongly to any lack of compassion towards sentient creatures.
The ME slaughter man then stabbed the cow's eye out and slashed her vagina as she was bleeding to death - not my idea of a 'happy meal'.
I hope Allah deals with extremely harshly him one day. I know I would.

What diseases do they harbour that are harmful unless the meat is cured??
Apart from soemthing introduced by man like BSE.
If you want to eat Pork, go ahead.
Nowhere on this thread does it say that Non-Muslims should not eat Pork, If you want to eat it go ahead.
Just because Muslims, AND Jews have Pork prohibited it doesn't and shouldn't be a point of discrimination.
And apparently Muslims Impose their views on everyone around them(!)

T,
Ignore him, he seriously needs to grow up.
The "masala" will be apparent if he comes to the next Desi meet and carry's on stirring crap.

As Mus explained earlier the traditional method is not even close to what you had the unfortunate experience of watching.
The treatment of Animals in Islam is taken very seriously. The Hadith even states an example of a person who used to treat their cat cruelly by not feeding it, and locking it up etc, this person was damned as a result of the treatment of cruelty to the cat.
Harm to any living creature including yourself is prohibited.

Ok, Pigs are filthy, Cows are sacred, poor old Chickens are going to get a hammering, how is organised religion on Turkey's, I ride past a Turkey farm on the way home every night and that makes my eye water, cant day they are the most sanitary animals but everyone eats them.

It's not about the external hygiene. Porks meat harbours disease. If anything is harmful it is not allowed.
e.g In Islam sealife is halal, however something like a puffer fish would be haraam as it could be fatal to a human being.
Is there anything wrong in that?....

Only a few months ago your name was down to go and meet the 'Desi" crew.

Doubt your going to be going or thinking about any more now.

That does sound harsh, and not the traditional method used.

I have no "Beef" with Islam in particular, its religion in general, though what you are saying seems rational if not 100 % relevant these days.

I can see the point but it is quite inflexible, Cod tends to have parasites as well as a lot of other fish, I find it at odds that its so health and safety oriented yet there is the "Allahs will" element where wearing a seatbelt is considered superflous, or is that me getting the wrong end of the stick ?

With regards to the H&S point, in Islam it is also encouraged that although something is Allah's will, as human's we have "free will", meaning that Allah has encouraged all Muslims not to rely solely on him but do as much as each individual can control themselves, to help themselves.
Allah's will is ultimate, however we have our own say as to what and how we conduct our day to day lives.
Many muslims get confused on this rationale and believe that they can do whatever they want, and if Allah wills it, it will happen;
Regardless of what actions they carry out or do.
This is incorrect.
As Muslims we are obliged to do everything in our power to keep ourselves and others safe.
That includes buckling up in the Scoob

WARNING IT IS HORRENDOUS VIDEO OF HALAL SLAUGHTER PRACTICE - in saying that it is not an attack on your culture, only the sh-heads in this video that are sub-human in what they do. Bad stuff happens West too. this is why we saw 'decent' farming and slaughter explained/promoted on CH4 with Jaime Oliver recently - just buy British to minimise your involvement in such hell on earth scenarios.
