So a thread I started that was about the cruelty to animals AKA Halal meat, somehow diverted to some people hating road sings, gay men having too many rights, not being able to live in France and blokes having small brains.

Meat is meat surely. Kosher methods of slaughter are pretty similar to Halal.
I can't see it makes a difference. I don't know if the animals suffer more or less, either way they suffer in that they get killed. I think its more important to respect animals whilst they are alive and improve their living conditions. If I could spell Hugh Fearnley Whingstool I would give him a mention!

I have. My mum does all the time. She works as a pharmacist and they have a lot of British Asian women collecting prescriptions on the NHS that can't understand basic english. These are not people coming over for a holiday they are UK nationals that can't speak the language.
As for the signs.. have a look around East London and also Bradford/Birmingham
Here's one example... any reason for this at all?

Also regardign France do some digging. It is the law it is mandatory that all forms are French. also all legal documents and contracts (like those for work_ in French. Plus all the radfio stations have to play a large percentage of music in the national language.
My mate went to work in France 10 years ago. Before he went he spent 6 months learning it before he went and now has a French wife etc. At no point did he expect to be handed everything on a plate like it is here. He has gone abroad and fitted in with their culture and ways of doing things instead of complaining and trying to get things changed. If these people were 'as British as us' then why is there a problem?

This is integration at its worst, communities within communities, no real interest or even pressure or incentives to integrate. Keeping their language and traditions and laws even if they fly in the face of the established traditions and laws.
Bradistan is a prime example!
Lot of people have no idea really and have not come across it for themselves. It will be a huge culture shock for some and some will continue to bury their heads finger in their ears yelling "I'm not listening"...
as for Halal meat, Subway have done it for years in the ME, it is just about footfall and getting into a and mostly untapped UK Muslim market = £££££££'s
FYI 50% of the posters in my local Lloyd's TSB are in Polish which is a shame, learn the fecking English language!
Northants Police spent some £300K in the last 2-3 years on eastern European interpreters - i am sure that with all the crime and violence a lot of that 300k could well have been spent better elsewhere!

I've noticed in asda a special fridge away from the rest of the meat with Halal meat in instead. I think its mad. We are no longer great britain soon enough it will be the next africa or poland.
If Subway bring Halal meat in I will no longer be going there.

But that's one for the conspiracy theorists on here; do the foreigners who do speak English persuade their non-English speaking friends to move over here so they can milk us for paying for translations?
As for Subway, I've only ever eaten it in Spain (and only twice), and I'm not fussed if the do serve halal meat instead of pork. If I'm going to go out of my way to get fast food, I'll get something hot rather than something I could have made at home anyway.

The funny thing is, these immigrants, who cant speak English, probably can speak English. They probably chose not to, to certain people who act patronising and with arrogance towards them. Most I know do speak English very well, and those that dont, try really hard and always apologise for it. I have many Polish friends and theyre always saying to me how theyre thinking of going home because they feel so unwelcome by alot of British people, taking advantage of them at work, speaking to them like theyre children etc, some of you lot are probably the ones who go abroad and when someone cant understand you, you say the same thing but slower and louder as if it would help
No wonder many nations think England is full of ignorant pigs. Not many other nations carry that type of stereotype by so many others. Its ourselves that we should be looking at before critisising others.

If halal means that Subway loses it's horrible smell then I'm all for it. I don't eat there myself but even in an unfamiliar town I know when there's one nearby by the strange aroma.

I just found something else out which I was unaware of, only a Muslim can carry out this act of violence against the animal, so they don't even want us dirty non-Muslim types touching there food now!! wtf Imagine the other way round "Sorry, you can not work in that section, you are Muslim, don't touch that meat" there would be outrage.

Terrible thing someone being murdered, do you know why? - race, religion, language barriers, pissed??? old axes to grind such as Bosnia or Serbia. These problems do rear their ugly head in the UK - Should not but do!
No-one in the family spoke or understood any English?

Technically for Halal, the animal is supposed to be slaughtered in the name of Allah.
Now if a Christian or Jew did the slaughtering, would they be slaugtering in the name of another god? And if so, then the meat would not be halal!

Certainly can my friend. I work with the public and everyday i deal with people who cannot be bothered to speak the Queens English generally from Africa i may add, not only can they not communicate in this countries language but they become rude due to the inability to communicate to me. I actually find them to be filthy sleezey scumbags at well.
I then have to deal with the Gypsie population that have travelled across the boarder and ruins the areas in which i live, try to rob everyone and happily smashed the wingmirror off my car in there untaxed and uninsured flat bed lorry. The only reason why they have come here is to rip the good population off.
My friend has worked his entire life and had to quit his job after splitting up with his wife and having to stay and home and look after the children. He has had no or little help to pay the bills and had to sell his house and rent because he could get anything off the gov. Yet, i deal with jonny foreigner coming into the country, just moved into his coverted barn apartment paid for by me and you and can also sign up for his full £46 package to Sky.
Then do i need to mention about the amount of foreigners entering the country and are happily allowed to spread there hate regarding the British way of life?
Now if i can't go into my local Subway and get a ****ing Italian BMT because apparently they can't serve pork i truely believe that something is UP with this country.

Halal’ meat in its original and intended sense therefore means the meat of an animal that has been ethically treated, properly fed and raised and in the end mercifully slaughtered. Its aim is to secure the rights of the animal to a good life as well as ensure that the meat they offer up is pure.
