my thoughts.
she bears a striking resemblance to humpty dumpty now. Do you think she now asks the doctors "AM I MINGIIIIIIIN?!"
****ing silly bint. I really dislike the attitude that just because she's going to die, we can't hate her now. she is so stupid she probably doesn't even understand what cancer is anyway. I bet the doctors have to draw cartoons for her to understand!
Tell you what else annoys me, is that all these people who are now starting and joining facebook groups and going "Get well soon Jade, you're such a little angel" are the exact same people who were screaming about the outrageous behaviour in Celeb BB and asking for her head on a stick, saying that BB should be banned etc.
This country is full of absolute morons.
I'd have sympathy for her if she acted with an ounce of dignity. Instead she's on the front page of every celebrity magazine harping on about her disease and milking it for all it's worth. It's not really much different to Jordan whoring out her retarded blind kid.
Look at the difference in the way Kylie Minogue handled her cancer ordeal to that of Jade Goody. Some people have class and others just bring just bring **** on themselves.
I cant even check my emails without seeing her face I dont think you realise the extent that this woman has gone to make money out of the situation. 8 million pounds and look at her: YouTube - Jade Goody's cancer battle TV documentary extract what a miserable disgrace

The woman has not hurt anyone. I can't stand her tv persona like many people but that doesn't make me a hypocrite because I think it's terrible what is happening to her and what she has to go through and that her kids will have no mother from a very early age.

I don't particularly like her but I wouldn't wish cancer on anyone. I do think though that she should spend her last few months with her kids and not in the media like she is every day.
Yes now we are fully aware of cervical cancer but there is no need to be in the papers everyday about it there are many people that die everyday because of cancer and they don't shout about it in the papers.
Look at the likes of Patrick Swazey and also Kylie Minogue that have and are going through cancer they aren't in the papers every day about it. I think she should take herself out of the media and concentrate on her kids.

Tempting as it maybe, I don’t think you should compare Jade with Kylie or Patrick Swayze

Every time I see a headline mentioning her, I just think about how many other people in a similar situation who have done decent things in their lives are living without the option of being able to generate so much money for the loved ones they will leave behind.
I'm sorry if this sounds a bit callous, but I had no interest in Jade Goody before she found out she had cancer, and I have none now, I don't see why her story is more important and newsworthy than the thousands of others affected in a similar way.
If I was feeling particularly cynical I would probably think that the tabloid papers featuring her story are only doing it to sell more copies - no, surely they couldn't be that calculating

Shame she went running of to India to try and make money on the advice of Max Clifford, her publisher, rather than listen to the doctors. They might have had a chance to help her if she bothered to go back for the tests when they asked her to, not months later when it suited her career. 
As sad as it is, people should learn from this - Money isn't everything. (Although I blame Max, he probably had her believing it was the right thing to do.)

I have had 3 family members that have had cancer 2 aunts and 1 uncle sadly my uncle died at 43 and left 2 kids aged 8 and 13 is that less awful than what Jade is going through? He died of bowel cancer that spread to his brain and eventually killed him.
Any type of cancer is awful but it can happen to anyone at any time. Yes its bloody awful but sometimes I think celebrities need to act with some dignity and instead of being in the papers or on the news everyday they should spend what time they have left with their family.
Patrick also re-newed his wedding vows to his wife he didn't make a big deal about it.
Like I said I wouldn't wish cancer on anyone but I dont get that when people die they suddenly become a hero or a saint.
Also why is Jade more important than all our men/women who are in afghanistan fighting for us who get killed every day for us! they are the real hero's
We are all entitled to our opinions on people even if we dont know them personally and because astraboy decided to make his feelings known he's been called names for it. Thats his personal opinion and his choice and because some of you don't like it or don't agree with it doesn't make it wrong

Not even going to bother reading through this thread; I'll just give my honest opinion. I found the coverage on the news tonight quite disturbing: do we really need to see her crying and whinging?
As for the media...there's nothing noble about them: all they want to do is make as much money as possible from whatever they can, as ever.
Also, since I had to watch my Grandfather suffer an uncomfortable and at times agonising death due to cancer spreading throughout his body, after repeatedly bugging doctors etc to take him seriously before a diagnosis was made, I deeply resent the 'special' status Jade Goody seems to be getting.
She is NOT the only person in Britain with cancer.

Her story isn't anymore important to any other imo. I think most people certainly don't think it is, it just so happens hers is in the public eye, and as such generates feelings. From most views I have heard about this, it is not so much about who she is, but what she is going through (and her family). Alot of people have gone through similar, in some way, and relate to her ordeal. As a result, they can feel sympathy, regardless of her tv personna.

Fair post Lisa, and it has made me go and look at mine again - I think what I was trying to say is that I feel sympathy for anyone going through what Jade and her family are, however it annoys me a bit that they are unable to cash in and safeguard their families futures in the same way.
