Oh man, I'd forgotten about Bad Taste
You wouldn't think watching it, that the director would go on to make 4 of the biggest films of the last ten years would you

For a bit of good old fashioned girly romance you can't beat an old Merchant Ivory film, I love 'A Room With a View' and 'A Passage To India' although I wasn't keen on the way they changed the ending from the book in the film version of Passage To India.
They're proper Sunday afternoon, on your own with a bottle of wine and a box of choccies girly films

Loads of great films have been named BUT no-one has mentioned 'The long good friday'....fantastic film!!!
Great line in it when Bob Hoskins' character sees the mafia are leaving because they say London is too violent, he laughs and say 'mafia, I sh*t 'em'.

Fantastic film. Hoskins at his best. Got to see it right from the start though.
I'm a Steiger fan too. In the Heat of the Night.

My very favorite film of all time is Dune.
YouTube - Dune Trailer Remastered
To be honest unless you've read at least the first book half a dozen times most of the script means bugger all.

He watched "Seven" last night. 1995. A bit of a nasty one, but still very good

The director of Seven also directed Alien3 which was his feature film debut. He also directed Fight Club.
I think it shows that Alien3 did actually have some good people behind it but terrible editing and Batman Returns killed it at the box office.
I'm a big Aliens fan.

My favourite oldish film would probably be
Raise The Titanic, have seen it more times than i can remember
Edd Scott, I loved the book Dune but got the HD-DVD of the film and couldn't watch it all, it was just so bad!
