A friend of mine took on a pup once without knowing who it's parents were. It was a teeny tiny thing that looked not unlike Rolly here. It grew into something just shy of a Great Dane, it was mahoosive

looking at his eye size, paw size/markings and ear position/shape there looks like there could be some rottie in the mix especially if he is very young(they can be a bit bushy when very young as DD says)-however theres a few others in the mix as well by the looks of it.
just dont let him turn in to a 9 stone lapdog(mine is but he's only 2-yet to fully bulk out).
Cracking looking pup though and well done for taking the little chap on-I'm sure he'll repay your kindness in spades whatever shape he turns out and look forward to see the growing up pics
cheers richie

Bugger! I just posted this in the other thread! Stop trying to confuse me. (That's me saying that btw, not Rolly.)

Well done for rescuing him.
He does look very much like a Rott to me (we've had them in the family for 30 odd years now and bred a few litters so I know wat the puppies look like). Will be interesting to see what he grows up into.....
At least he's at the age were you won;t have many issues to get over with regard to the attack and his early upbringing.
Keep us informed of his progress
Phil

There are some real barstewards around - why not just take the puppy somewhere safe - thank god you found him - he's georgous
We three here think he's defo got some rottie in him - the shape of his head & those HUGE paws are a good clue.
My 11 year old has gone all gooey & puppy eyed to her dad - although we already have a rottie he's not a pet! He loves kids, but can't manage a whole one.
There were three rottie pups on the news the other day that had been rescued - thrown into a pond weighed down by a paving slap, but the bag / sack didn't break the ice - thank god.
Why do people (I use the word people losely) do things like this?
Oh, and can we have a 'Rolly Round Up' each week to see how he's doing? and what he's growing into?
I think Rolly is the winner as he looks like he's gonna have a pretty good life now!

I'm still keeping my bets on a yorkie hybrid
Pure black and tan yorkie + poodle =
Yorkie-Poo:
Or Yorkie+Rat terrier = Ratshire terrier:

omg hes soooo cute
our rottie was that small at 4 weeks, and there were 2 in the litter which were very hairy the same as that
looks like you will be joining in the arguments defending rotties with me and devildog in the near future then lol.
good on you for taking him in and giving him a home, they are great dogs, just remember they need lots of training and walkies

What a great thread, its always brilliant to hear happy endings like this. That video really had me laughing, puppy barks can be so funny. Rolly is a little gem, he looks a playful little fella
