They will have just noticed a new car in the area and wanted to check it out.
To be fair they might have been w@nky with you due to the amount of little fuds getting their hands on Impreza's now and driving like tw@ts.....

Just putting the creepers up you if were a "cruiser "ned" "chav" or whatever you want to call the folk that blat about town centres hitting the limiter in 1st and 2nd gear.......

I find **** describes them nicely........

Wouldn't take it personally mate, just scaremongering.
There are plenty little paps around where I stay I'd gladly see removed from the roads. It's folk like that unfortunately give young Subaru drivers a bad name and make us targets to be checked.
If you are a proper enthusiast then you've got nothing to worry. They do have to check out new cars in their area but it is still annoying when you recieve that kind of treatment.

Force number is probably a better term. And the warrant cards down here have that number on too

Loads of them on here I reckon but I certainly doubt they would want people judging them by the experiences that some Impreza owners have had with bad cops.

be carefull they can now arrest you with no charge and hold you for 24hrs no questions asked.
noticed the police attitude has changed since they got their anti terrorist laws updated.
Also it is against the law to film or photo graph them so you could not even film police harrasment

I suppose terrorists do drive around with loud exhausts and dump valves. Come to think of it, if that's the case, why don't the anti-terrorist police just arrest all that attend the next Max Power meet?

24 hours is the maximum pre-charge detention, but it's like £1000 is the maximum fine for dropping litter, it doesn't get used that often!

Unless you've murdered or raped someone you wouldn't get kept that long

After hearing stories of Si getting his knee smashed by a drunk in a pub brawl, and the ****** being let off.....

I can understand why most of them are a bit weary of the system.

My own experience of traffic cops, as a Scoob owner is they are either car nuts/owners or complete ****....

LOL

P.S. Hi c.o.b. !

I'd argue that imports are in a different boat, check the RTA, Section 44, Sub-section 1, paragraph b. This pertains to section 41, sub-section 2 paragraph C.(This is what you're talking about)

Perhaps Phil; but when they see that you understand exactly where you stand, theyd be foolish to compound their mistake.

There have been a couple of threads on SN about "legal" exhausts and it always get my goat because if you look at the Police Interceptor Scooby it has got the Prodrive back box on it. Is that not double standards?

I know how you feel connor, I had some **** pull me over in my last Scoob. I was travelling up a dual carriage way into the town where I live, double lane my side of the road and single on the other side, Anyway I am just about to pull out and overtake when a traffic car came out onto my side of the carriage way. Now he can do that because the solid line is on my side on the outside of the second lane. He had no blues on but was clearly hooning it for fun so I pulled back in and gave him a flash. Yep you've guessed it, 2 mins later he is up my **** pulling me over. Apparantly he had checked my car reg and it was not insured, yeah right! I said "it was your system is at fault, follow me home and I will show you the certificate". So he did and I duly showed him, he would'nt have though so I said fine give me a producer then and I will bring it all into the local nick. He said "nah, it's not worth the paperwork". "come on" i said. Would'nt do it though. Just being a ****.
Unfortunately he ruins the reputation of all the cops.

cops are a waste of time round my way

episode 1. disturbed some ****** trying to have my wheels, chased him down the road in me shorts with a kitchen knife, went back to put my wheels nuts back on and had said knife in my pocket incase they came back, cops came past, asked what I was doing, got arrested for going equipped

episode 2. smack head on me mother in laws drive trying to get in the house and generally scaring the crap out of her, she rang me, I jogged round and sent him on his way with a few bruises to remind him how to behave in public, police told me id be arrested if he made a complaint, even tho they had been rang 4 times before I arrived and the bloke had been on the drive an hour shouting and banging on the windows.

episode 3. dude in a black octavia VRS tries his hardest to get me to race but I dont coz octavias are ****e, he goes after someone else who takes thebait, turnsout to be a copper

what a waste of time they truly are

They only ask you to 'spoil' the film usually, for what seems like an obvious reason.
