Woosh, If I had a similar graph, I too would be drooling all over the graph

P.S
Bitten Hero, I also thought it would be ATF vs. ATW but... 170KW ATW seems a bit low. Woosh?

OK here goes, the two lines are at two differnt boost levels the lower one is about 9psi and the top one is 19psi, the car was fitted with an adjustable boost controller.

All figures are at the wheels.

Why is the power figure higher than in the UK, good question, but when you figure this car has spent inexcess of 80 hours on the dyno being tuned then it may become clearer.

The T25 isn't the small one either it's the 450 option compressor,

This combo even with the 880 injectors was running out of fuel so it was pegged at 250KW's the turbo would have made more power but I would have been up for more injectors, the tuner I have doesn't like to run the injectors to hard, ie there are ppl here that when the injectors get to full duty cycle will just add a larger fuel pump in the hopes that at full opening it'll pump a little more fuel in.

This is also tuned on 98 octane fuel, which is premium pump fuel here at the moment.

The car was an absolute joy to drive on the road, with the small exhaust housing it'd spool up so quick that it was frightening.

It only went down the track, 1/4, a few times, best time was a 12.2, at 117mph, very bad launch, the box was feeling worse for wear and I didn't want to push it, on the same day it ran side by side with a car we dyno'd the same day as mine, it produced 35KW less at the wheels than mine but had a dog box, it ran a 11.7 at 112mph, so with a dog or better launch I would expect it would have ran a low 11. nice for a road car.

I don't know why you guy's are missing 100hp but I think I'll put it down to, in this case, the amount of fine tuning this motor had through the tuner.

But then we get some pretty high outputs over here anyway, if a guy can pull 550hp ATW's out of a 2.2, actually I think it may have been a standard 2L but not sure, then I suppose were doing something right.

All I can say is well done mate but don't let the Cossie boys get to hear about you using 880s - when I mentioned 740s they got all excited about getting huge figures from a thimble with a pinhole in it! LOL

They reckon no Scooby would need over 550s up to 400plus!

So need to check this turbo data - it sounds well sorted - a turbo that big and it spools up in the low 2000s - as I said elsewhere *yummy*.

On the first graph, is the "f/w" flywheel?

Curious.

Whoosh,

The 550bhp ATW's car you are referring to, is a stroked 2.2lt, and runs something like 43psi, it also uses a MASSIVE turbo.

880cc injectors are MORE than adequate for the power you're running, even at 85%idc, they're running about 3lts pm !!!!!

My engine was mapped on an engine dyno, and the 399 fuel, and 399 ignition zones were mapped in about 6 hours.

You may save a little time with a dog box, due to quicker shifts, and or better gear ratio's, but only a couple of 10th's.

Anyway, I'm sure your car goes really well,

Mark.

Exclamation

I never took my car on track, due to the fuelling issue I wanted solved, rather than blow my car up.

Do you think a standard UK clutch would have taken a couple of standing starts at Santa Pod??? An AP Racing clutch was due to go in before I sold it!

Unlike some, I had to use my car everyday and any modifications on it had to be juggled with work!

Shame I never got the project finished before my situation changed! I guess I'm not the only person never to finish their project!

Although I quote the figures (which people still don't want to believe despite the consistancy), there are people who don't like it! I know of other owners who live or die by the figures shown on the rollers!

Wink

As a side issue, I was the one that came up with the Tarty Tango nickname! I guess it was due to the:

Prodrive wing
Prodrive suspension
P1 wheels
P1 driving lamps
STI6 front lip spoiler
Tinted windows
Morette quad lamp conversion
MRT bonnet scoop
Nitosport leather/nubuck custom made interior
Nitosport carbon fibre interior
Defi 60mm gauges

But other than that I'm not sure why the nickname stuck!!
