All you've done here is berate the OP for being angry instead of looking at the problem that caused all this.
I see this all the time. The Police these days are trully dreadful. Very few of the old school coppers exist today.
Instead the service is full of cocky gobsh*tes like the wpc I saw a couple of months back.
She was a very pretty girl and it was midnight on a typical Doncaster Friday night. Young lad walking by her having a laff wolf whistled winked at her and said nice uniform love. Completely harmless fun in my eyes.
Her reaction was to grab the poor lad throw him against the wall and she said Why don't you just shut your f*cking mouth and f*ck off home you chav c*nt. Completly out of order and not called for.
If you ask me this is the crux of the problem. Today's police service is full of power trip, unprofessional idiots that use the guise of being a police officer in totally the wrong manner.
What should have happened in the OP's instance is that the police should have gone and had a quite word with this guy driving like a ****. You don't need proof to do that and you certainly don't need the CPS' say so.
They should just be doing the job we pay them to do. In case you forgot that's to protect the general public.

where do u live? if its in a getto then i wouldnt even bother with the police, they have no power and more often than not are scared. most major citys are lawless at the moment.
move house to a nice area where the police are in far more control.

What kind of look did the wolf whistler have in his eye - a friendly grin or some hateful spite?
Also, whenever you ever deal with anyone else - copper, refund desk in M&S without a receipt, traffic warden, job interview, Severn bridge toll without any money ()... How you come across and deal with the situation permits the respondent to behave in certain ways (and despiethe'rules' may often feel like cutting you some slack or not dismissing you) sorry if thats a basic.
Its all about context as we is complicated us humans!!!

I agree with a lot of what you sayt mate, but there are two factors:
What kind of look did the wolf whistler have in his eye - a friendly grin or some hateful spite?

Completely agree with the way in which you're approached can influence the way you respond. However the OP hasn't confirmed how he approached the officer behind the desk.
Admittedly he' done himself no favours on here but I very much doub he was like that the station.
Either way the police service could do with a completely new approach.

The lad was scrawny young lad and it was said tongue in cheek with a big smile on his face. He nearly burst into tears when she had a go at him. He was completely harmless.

I think the tide may be turning as top cops are starting to rebel a bit about the targets/paperwork BS. D

Nothing other than pointing out he was rude.
Why would I help someone out who's being rude to me? The job I do has zero relevance to my reaction to rudeness.
I am in today's police service and don't agree that it's full of idiots on power trips, or any other trip. There are going to be some that are like that, but a very small %age.
There's no point any police officer arguing about police standards on SN as it's pointless and a waste of time. We're all ****s to a small minority on here just as we are to a minority in the general public, and that will never change.
We'll just have to live with it

Having witnessed first hand police brutality ( my mate was attacked by the police on my 18th birthday being booted in the nuts but a policeman for no reason and various other allegations of threats of beatings by the met police) I can see why people lack faith in the police. The continual persecution by the police on me and my friends in our teens and early 20s for no reason made me mistrust then.
Since then I have had issues that needed investigating and these were done poorly with paperwork being lost etc.
Having now moved I've found Hertfordhsire police very different and far more helpful.
Overall I remain deeply unimpressed and whilst I do not doubt many police are dedicated and want to do well I have seen too many scrawny little hitlers.
Shame they did not take more action on your behalf, sounds like there was a genuine risk to life

I'm not - you are clipped, and positively dispassionate, but that aggravated it IMHO. D

FP your doing yourself no favours, going back to the very first post, it was then you who after, began the games. Your own self arrogant belief is what makes the police force look, ridiculous in the public eye. You mate, need to realise that the public rely on you to uphold and protect. Not to berate a tax payer, who pays your wages and generous pension. But to possibly.and i know its a big if.....be helpful. As i said earlier you have done yourself no favours on here, with your sarcastic replys. You seem very typical of the, its not my problem, policing today. What a pity, you really had the chance, when i first posted but you chose to be, anti anything to do with jo.

Na, I was just being neutral and not reacting to abuse.
I could easily have been abusive back wasn't due to the usual reactions you get on here. Sometimes a lack of reaction might look dispassionate, but I was just not getting into a slanging match with an angry keyboard basher.
I had several positive PMs saying I was right to be restrained, actually.

I wasn't being sarcastic; merely not rising to your rants.
I'd happily have helped you had you not fired off your guns at the 1st opportunity.

on the whole I have always got first class service from the plod -- did let them use my house for a few days in Ladbroke grove as a stakeout for a drugs bust across the road. -- nevertheless whenever I have any dealings with them (rarely) i am ultra polite,
because if I did have the same problem as the OP -- I would defiantly expect them to do something about it
and in fact we did -- had someone randomly keying cars -- contacted local community officer, who organised a stakeout and caught the ******, turned out to be a mad OAP walking his dog -- trebles all round

However the dispassionate thing would have better been avoided/ducked completely. We were all faced by a passionate wound up warrior - cold detachment just didn't fit as a reaction, at all, whatsoever. 'Speak to you in the morning babe' might have been 1000000% better LOL

FP, nice one for sharing a bit of insight into the CPS lottery mate.
I think there are a lot of people who really do think the police are the law makers these days.
As for judging FP as a copper, while he makes comments on a public forum in a public capacity... dear oh dear....
Ding ding... Round 2 ?

Maybe. No way of knowing is there?
I've been jumped on before for no reason due to a previous misinterpretation, fired back and been told off for being offensive etc. Thought I'd not bother this time......
The wonders of SN. People air their various problems and then get upset by posts reacting to it.
I try to never use this site when p1ssed or angry as bad things can happen

It actually now seems, as though you are trying to actually be convicing. I think you lost that chance a fair few posts ago. If you wer'nt so pathetically condascending in your first post NONE OF THIS WOULD, be, being talked about. We would be on the subject of the original post. I have every right to air my views about the police lack of help, i pay towards your wages. I know and it is obvious that you really have a total disconcern to the general public, but wake up matey. I would be the first to back you up if you had a positive attitude, but you just seem intent as you admitted in a previous post, on winding people up. You really are ridiculous
I don't need to try anything. You were wound up and lashing around keyboard stylee.
As I said, I would have happily helped you. Not interested in arguing with you, as frankly, I don't like you. You appear to be an aggressive bully with no sense of humour.
Get over yourself.

You now lost me (and no I dont like the OP's attitude either but am at least smart enough to keep that buried - you do come across such types you know (and he is genuinely angry -not making it up) - and you in the service too. There was no hope EVER of 'winning' this one and hence you damage you and your force). Silly.

It's only the internet. FFS it's just people arguing, falling out or messing about.
Am I not allowed to reply to someone judging me because of the job I do and an interpretation that I'm heartless?
The only damage done is maybe V7 won't send me a chritmas card. All perceptions are internet based and mean nothing.
