I guess overweight IT geeks who probably can't even swim are considered "real men" on SN then eh?!

i know -- as i said I have windsurfed all over the world SA, Hawaii etc and when I was shown that pic Teapuhoo as Mattee correctly state a few years ago I was convinced it was a photoshop job -- I had to call a surfer friend before I believed it

I've just been having a chat with our Lesley about this thread and we have concluded that men are without doubt bitchier than wimmins as this thread so nicely demostrates Can any of you blokes imagine us Scoobynet wimmins going on at each other like you lot are doing?
"I'm fitter than you" "Yeah but you have a saggy biff", "My ***** are bigger than yours" "At least mine don't face my feet" etc etc
The way I see it is this, Matteeboy is fit and proud of it, he posts a pic, some of you think he's showing off and tell him so, he gets the hump, handbags fly, the jokes start but sensitivity levels are already high and some don't get the jokes, more handbags fly, with all intelligent humour exhausted the gay accusations are thrown in (always a surefire bet for a snigger), the bandwagon jumpers leap on, even more handbags fly, A few nice pics of some fit blokes are posted, the wimmins letch, the men think "what's he got that I haven't? Harrumph, I'll call him gay", more jump on that wagon, the OP gets the hump, thus starts the whole cycle again ad infinitum...
But you have to admit the tags are blinking funny I mean that with no offence to you Matt, you know that

YouTube - Surf over the limit - surfing wipeouts
Biggest I have surfed in is SW France -triple overhead and terrifying beyond belief. It was double overhead (manageable) when we paddled out then it picked up - we really struggled to get in but all (three of us) caught a couple of big ones.
Nothing compared to these nutters though!

I don't like it when they get hurt though 
I got knocked over by a three foot wave whilst in the sea once and that was terrifying so god knows how it feels to be caught up in one of those big ones
My little threefooter picked me up, totally disorientated me, dragged me under then threw me onto some rocks. It really winded me and I had no idea where I was, I couldn't breathe because my nose was full of the sea and my back felt like it was broken. I think that was the last time I went swimming in a rough sea
