I'll try to describe as best I can.

This bonnet would be described and sold by suppliers new, as carbon fibre. The bonnet surface is clearly carbon fibre. The underside I suspect is GRP.

Some carbon fibre bonnets are just a skin with no underside supports, these appear flimsy, this is not one of those.

The really puka ones come from the like of Prodrive cost thousands of pounds and weigh very little, this is not one of those

Hi all, to conclude this thread, scooby trood collected the bonnet and mudflaps last night. A donation of £380 was made to Race for Life (cancer research) plus a tax donation of £107, so an all round good result.
