my G/F understands the whole waving thing as she used to drive an old beetle and they all wave....however it annoys her that people wave to me because now she has a no beetle and no one waves at her

Yep I wave too at everyone I see, but there are a few out there that just stare right back at you like your a loon 
I dont even wave like a mad teenager waving at a popstar its just a lift of the hand in an acknowledgement kind of way. I guess they dont like wagons!

i wave but theres alot in hull that do not wave back 
.
i had my mother in the car once and a bugeye came in front flashing like mad and waving ,my mother said they used to do that when me and your dad had a reliant robin when you was a baby other robins flashing

I did my first wave to a classic on sunday on the A52 and got a wave back, I've got a Hawkeye, not had it long hence the 1st wave.
The missus drives it most of the time during the week though, and she won't wave cos she thinks its embarrasing!!
So I appologise if a silver hawkeye doesn't wave with an ignorant woman in it! But rest assured I will be waving when I drive it!!

this thread seems a little one sided, i have to say i never wave and would feel a **** doing it, and think why, oh why, lol. from what you lot say there must be no end of people that dont, i used to when i had a vectra gsi messing about, for the fact that there wasnt many round my way. But then i bought a scooby and people do it for real...but what ever floats ya boat

Having owned a scooby for past 3 months i have to say i wave as i thought everyone still did from owning one many years back but obviously times have changed and most of the time am wishing i didnt as i'm sat there looking like a fool

Now being a classic owner i always wave even at nice Evo's,but it does get my Goat when you wave and you get looked at like some type of numpty,but then its either there coffin dodgers 
or dont know The Special wave
