The whole concept of competition in sport is to try to win because of one's own personal abilities and the hard work which was put into training. These are natural attributes and that is what those who follow sport expect to see.

The use of drugs etc. to increase personal performance is unnatural as well as probably being dangerous to some degree. It would be a gross error for the sporting authorities to allow a free for all as far as the use of drugs is concerned. It would reduce the performance of the winners to that of no real significance in comparison to others who set records in the past.

Les

but things like creatine are performance enhancers...yet occur naturally in the body too...

testosterone is a performance enhancer in a synthetic form.... but also exists in the MALE body.....naturally produced daily

so what is the difference in theory...if creatine enahnces performance, why isn't that banned too?

Some men naturally have a higher testosterone count than other men, so this could potentially give them an edge....

I agree wholeheartedly with your second paragraph, yet you keep dodging the subject that the majority of elite athletes at the top of their game are likely to have/or run performance enhancers....if a certain number at the top do this, then in theory there is a certain level playing field.

Your so PC, I expect you'd also want to give the muslim d!psh!ts a medal who stood with signs saying "baby rapers" to our returning troops from iraq that paraded through Luton yesterday?

^^

thats my lack of self expression btw
